Not criticizing, more curious, why you don't use a gimble for the rod butt? Better control of the rod and the tip would stay out of the water and the rod would perform as designed, increasing leverage on the fish! Not that I want to tell these ladies how to handle a rod, Jus Sayin Yo. Luv Ya!

When I catch that many fish I have bruises from the rod butt. Either on the inside of my bicep or in my groin. These girls must be rock hard to never get bruised. lol

I once caught a giant AJ in 400 feet off Marathon. Light tackle, jigging. After that I prayed NOT to hook another one! Nice job.
