Here-s my coolest memory. I would always fish with my papa and my great uncle buck. If we ever went a couple cast without a catch, Uncle Buck would spit on his beetle spin. It always worked. Well one time it didn-t and papa says, -You don-t know how to do it-. He-s pours a little Natural Light on his beetle spin and catches a fish the moment it hit the water. I-ll never forget papa slapping his knee and laughing when he caught that fish.

Shellcracker memory. Summer 1969. 4th of July weekend fishing at Lake Panasoffkee Florida. Ate fried shellcrackers and huspuppies every evening. A great memory even though I was in bootcamp 6 weeks later and missed the Woodstock festival. (Same weekend. I'm 72 now and I'm going to buy some beetle spins. .that what worked back in Panasoffkee!
The smaller fish in life can be the most memorable.

I am 67 years old, my whole family fished all our lives. My first memory is I was about 4 or 5 years old fishing on a heated dock in Oklahoma, I hooked into a 2 pound crappie and my dad wouldn-t help me. He said you caught it you have to land it. As I landed the fish my dad was in a fistfight with someone who didn-t agree with his methods. I am pretty sure some alcohol was involved. lol,

I live in Louisiana. I love taking my six-year-old son bluegill fishing at Gulf Outlet Marina in Chalmette Louisiana. Toney thats runs Fisherman's friend live bait loves us coming over there. He will run anybody else off lol. My little guy bust the hell out some big bluegills.

Went to a small lake and rented 2 jon boats for the family and a friend that went with me. My dad was fly fishing for bream and hooked a small one and didn't realize it. He was fling it back and forth and I said, -Hey dad, I think you got a white bream on, - as it was flying through the air. It wasn't but a few inches and was ghost white.

My granddad taught us how to clean blue gills with a spoon. At 7 years old, with my big brother (9) and little sister (6) we'd go fishing by ourselves and bring home every blue gill we caught. which were always small. But even if they were only 2 inches without the head, my mom would fry them for us. We thought we were pro's.

Grew up in Missouri fished a farm pond. had 10 huge blue gills on a stinger, walking around the pond I noticed my stringer was moving a lot, checked on it a all I had left was the fish heads, big snapping turtle ate all my fish. 12 years old did not ever leave my stringer since

My Dad and I went up to central Michigan at our family cabin and went fishing and caught about 30 keepers Bluegill and Shellcrackers and some bass! Though I was only like 10 and my dad didn't trust me yet with the fillet knife just yet. One our best fishing days together!

Can't believe what I seen on you tube 2 blacks chasing a alligator running the gator over and over in 2 feet of water jake please look into this in S. C. that's jail time. Thanks Jake and Robert for protecting our Wild life. Out.
