I feel you on calling them specks even though you know they are actually crappie. Here in north Louisiana my entire family and everyone I know calls them white perch or just -perch-. I know white perch is actually an entirely different species, but if ya say I am going crappie fishing here as opposed to I am going perch fishing you will get some pretty strange looks haha!

I like Brad! He's an asset to any of GAbes videos. I hope he does very well as a guide on Lake Okeechobee because he's so knowledgeable and easy going. If I were looking for a guide I would certainly look him up.

I caught a huge black crappie when I was kid. Didn-t have a scale but I have a picture. my guess is it was at least 3 lbs maybe more. I-ve never seen anyone catch a crappie as big as that one

I've been to the South and this type of cookin is why so many are obese. Tastes good, goes on the waist good. No condemnation, just ain't a good full time diet.
