These people calls them self foodies, but couldn't find any recipe on internet. Their recreation is not even close. 65% according to one of them. Really? What a jokers. Do you know anything about food and do you know how google works? I am not going to tell these people what the name is from these pork buns, because they are so called foodies. I'm going to give you a hint. The original topping can be found in Mexican buns. The buns are Chinese bakery style found in Malaysia and Hong Kong and in places where a lot Cantonese people lives. The Tim Ho Wan buns can be found in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand, it is a mix of Chinese pork buns with Mexican buns topping.

I have to give it a thumbs down. Telling us to google the pork recipe and then not improving the recipe past 65% accurate. I get why you may be hesitant to make an exact replica of someone elses pork bun recipe. If that is the case, dont market the video based on that. This isnt even a full recipe. This is just clickbait.

Its a vary common pineapple pork bun you can get at any Chinese bakery. Theres a few thousand recipes online. Its literally one of the most common bun Chinese people buy. How you guys cant google the recipe is beyond me. dont you guys have any Chinese ppl on staff?

I would nooot be satisfied making this, getting to 65% / meh close enough, then putting it online. Especially knowing everyone would get excited to make it, then realise there wasn't a recipe anyway: / I was SO EXCITED then so. disappointed.

I really don't understand why THW received 1 star. it is so overrated. the foods there are pretty mediocre, did Michelin sent westerner undercover judges for tasting? I have no idea.
reply

Why would you bother making this video and just bail at a 65% approximation? No need to make any more Cliff Attempts videos, if this is the standard format.

I was annoyed when you said google the bbq pork recipe. Adding that to the failed result and no recipe? U wasted 6 min of my life. Plus the time to type this.

The red from cha shu pork is something called red wine lees. You use to make a koji like mixture with rice. Not given any more secrets than that.
