Tati there is a DETOX period when switching to natural deodorants. I ve had to try a few different ones before finding out which one works for me, but if you are recently trying to switch from regular to natural deodorant it may not be the deodorant itself that isn t working, you might still be in your detox period trying to adapt to natural products. My detox lasted for about 5-6 months Girl I was sweating and smelling for some time but now I don t have to use any deo at all and when I do I use Crystal deodorant: ) hope this helps to you or anyone switching!

I swear by Schmidts Natural deodorant, the coconut one. Its for sensitive skin so theres no baking soda (I think. It does take a bit for your body to purge when using it though. I STUNK for about 2 weeks, like. it was bad. After 2 weeks, my body adjusted and now I dont smell at all. The only exception is, lets say its the middle of summer, hot as all heck. and Ive just gone for a hike. I will smell. but I wont smell enough for others to really really notice. I just do another layer if thats the case, and Im good to go.

After years of using/loving Secret, I tried Native (Cucumber and Mint) as my first natural deodorant. It was okay, but I found the texture a little too gloopy. The super wet/slick (propylene glycol-based) deodorants like Dove 0% irritated my skin. The one that works best for me is Schmidt's Charcoal and Magnesium. It keeps me stink free and the driest of all the deodorants. But the baking soda can irritate some people's skin. Lavanila is a close second, but only the eucalyptus scent, the others are too fragrant for me.

I ve heard that your body goes through a detox when switching to natural deodorants so it gets worse before it gets better. You ll stink and sweat more at first and then once your body is done detoxing all the gunk from the other unnatural deodorants, the natural ones do what they re supposed to do. That s what I heard, at least. Of course, as normal, some brands are just gonna work more than others, but as far as I know, the beginning is rough no matter which one you use.

Paused the video to type this. I have done some research on natural deodorants, and from what I learned, you have to really exfoliate and give them a good solid while to work. The thoughts behind this are that typical deodorants actually clog your pores causing you to sweat less, whereas natural deodorants do not. So you have to exfoliate a couple of times a week under your arms and give them a solid month or two of use before you re going to get the results you want.

The Arm and Hammer aluminum free deodorant is pretty nice. It's not great for a super sweaty day but most normal days, I can make it through a day with very little sweat smell. It did take a week or two for my body to get used to it but ive used it quite a while now and it's pretty nice. And if you have a sweat-er day it reapplies pretty week as long as you aren't drenched

Omg I'm the exact same way as you! I have not found any natural deodorant that has worked for me. Most of them actually give me rash and idk if it's because it makes me sweat more or what. but although the aluminum one still sometimes does make me itchy. it doesn't give me nearly as much rash or BO than the aluminum ones. Ahhh if you find one, let me know too! :)
