Just seeing this video and I am SO GLAD I am not the only person who can't stand UD DeSlick primer. I have tried it many times and it just does not work. Then when I went back to Ulta to find something else that worked better for my skin the salesperson automatically recommended DeSlick and I told her that it did not work on me and I did not like the formulation. And she seriously gave me a dirty look and said, Well are you using it the right way? I was floored It was like she was insinuating there was something wrong with me because I did not like this particular primer. It is the nastiest formula Makes my skin look white. It dries my skin out so badly. And it absolutely destroys my foundation. It turns all pilly like and old sweater. No. Thank. You. And watching this makes me feel so vindicated LOL So thank you Loving all your videos

I saw this written about the UD primers, If anyone uses the Urban Decay primers they are unique in the way that they are applied, at least for the De-Slick. I was instructed by a UD Artist that for the De-Slick the best way to apply is to dispense some product onto the index and middle fingers of one hand, rub it together with your other index and middle fingers on the other hand to warm it up, and press it into the areas that are only oily (E. g. T-zone. This way you're controlling the oil sources since it's a heavy duty product and able to apply it without running into problems that some people have experienced (such as it turning visibly white on the skin or bunching up and flaking off when rubbed into the skin. Just a tip for anyone who wants to try it out or is having problems with the product.

I worked in a wet wipe, make up wipe and car wipes factory that actually makes neutrogena wipes and all sorts of other brands and i just say when put the solution in them it burned the hands so everyone had to wear latex gloves when doing the solution because it literally burned the hands so I wouldn't put that anywhere near my face and if people knew how bad the chemicals they put in them are they wouldn't put them anywhere near their face as they clearly aren't safe to use whether you have sensitive skin or not they will burn as the solution comes in a giant caged square box thing and the factories get told they have to wear blue latex gloves because it burns not because of hygiene reasons

You're correct about the Urban Decay De-Slick Complexion Primer. It contains magnesium, which is the drying mineral in milk of magnesia. I was considering this primer, but I changed my mind once I saw that it contains magnesium (dry, dry, dry. I watch hundreds of beauty videos, and I never cease to be amazed that most people (even self-proclaimed gurus) don't know how to read a product label and understand the function of specific ingredients. It's just elementary chemistry--nothing mysterious. You can save a lot of money by checking the ingredients before making a purchase. :-)

Speaking of products i hate, i just got the smashbox cover shot golden hour palette, which was so overhyped, and turned out to be dreadful. It's the worst eyeshadow palette i have ever bought as it doesn't have any pigmentation and is just little flecks of glitter without any colour when i apply it on my lid, and applying it wet doesn't make a difference, plus they are such powdery soft eyeshadows that they blend out to nothing and don't sit on the lids. My biggest regretful purchase. I don't understand how people have been swatching them amazingly when it is so unpigmented.

I hated the de-slick primer, it kinda crumbled and peels as soon as I touched my face with a beauty blender to apply foundation. I gave it to a friend with extremely oily skin and she uses the tiniest amount and loves it the optical illusion though, it's quickly become my fave primer Since Porefessional never worked on me no matter what, I tried many pore filling primers in the years and at first I hated this one as well, but then I tried applying less than a pump and warming it in my finger tips before applying and that makes it perfect

I searched Urban Decay Optical Illusion foundation primer (had disappointing experience using it for the last few days) experiencing the same negatives So bummed. Anyone know why this is happening before I return it? Am I doing something wrong to feel like a bunch of rubber glue is rolling off your face during application and after? I know many who love this primer my co-worker who talked me into it, she loved it, applied it (we have the same skin type) with no problems.

Ive been using the Optical Illusion primer, only because I spent the money on it. I dont have the pilling problem with it, but I have had that problem before with other products, and I think its due to primer not agreeing with moisturizer. I use a moisturizer with dimethicone now and the UD primer goes on smooth and makes my skin feel smooth, but Im not 100% sure it does much for my makeup. Maybe when I run out Ill see a difference

We all have the freedom of choice, if you don't like it, move on, you are free to watch something else. Why do people feel COMPELLED to say negative things. Have you ever been taught any good manners? We are not interested in your opinion about the videos. There are plenty of gurus out there to watch, who will only say what YOU want to hear. Keep moving. Tati's honesty IS REFRESHING.
