Silicones seal the hair-s surface and help prevent the hair from absorbing water from the atmosphere and causing FRIZZ or LIMP Hair. They make THICK, CURLY, DULL OR DRY hair smooth, silky, shiny and prevent excessive color loss from color-treated hair. I don-t like silicones because I get scalp eruptions (pimples) from using them. But they can be very helpful for most hair types.
BTW: Most modern silicones are Water Soluble or Semi Water Soluble and don-t readily cause Build-Up, but using multiple products containing silicones or multiple types of silicones especially with Heat may cause problems with some hair types.

Ok you guys, Realtalktime. Split ends are NORMAL if you got a lot of em just use some hair oil from time to time and cut them off every 6 months or so. The reason her hair is so shiny is not because it-s healthy, it-s because it-s full of silicones and so many products that literally create the thick layer we think is her healthy shiny long thick hair. She said it herself, she-s got so much buildup she needs to use clarifying shampoo which is super harsh do not believe a word this woman says.

Another reason you don't want to sleep with wet hair is it can give you dandruff! Malassezia yeast, which causes dandruff and scalp folliculitis (almost like scalp acne) grows very easily in warm, wet conditions like wet hair. Please don't make this mistake like I did, it was a nightmare to deal with - But if you do happen to get dandruff, do an apple cider vinegar rinse and it'll kill the yeast

I bleached and dyed my hair a month ago and I'm still losing alot of hair even though my hair feels really healthy and it's really worrying me. The only thing that I can think it's being caused by is how dry my scalp is but I'm not sure if that is actually the reason. Does anyone have any suggestions to stop my hair from falling out?

These are great tips, especially for the curly girls.
I've been on a healthy hair journey for 3 years & these tips are a perfect started pack for EVERYONE.
I learned about these tips 5 months ago & when I say, my hair is silky, shinny, and soft. I mean it.

I have dermatitis (idk if I spelled it right) on my hair and I have to use a special shampoo so it won't build up that layer so would you mind making a video on how to take care of your hair while having dermatitis?

when oiling, i try to wait until my hair is like 75% damp and I put oil on my ends rather than my roots since my hair is fine, is this wrong? also is air drying your hair bad for your hair?

For the last one, I'm used to tying my hair in a high ponytail, but lately have been using satin scrunchies, that prevents damage right even though there's stress on the hair?
