Your using waaay too many products because it is meant for curly or wavy hair. not straight hair. idn why you even tried this method on your hair? You have straight hair? This method is only for wavy or curly hair or for people with wavy curly hair who have used the straight hair method for yeeeeears and are now wanting to transition back to taking care of their curls. It will take 1 year even 2 years for us curly or wavy hair gurls that used the straight hair method for years to finally get our natural defined curls back. uts not a 1 week or 2 week thing lol we curly wavy gurls have to use more products because once tried our curls need moisture to prevent our hair from becoming a culy frizzy dry messs and if we don't lock in alll thooooose products! Our hair will stay dry and frizzy

I know this is like a year old, but if you ever feel like styling curly again, I will tell you a lot of people, especially wavies, don-t follow all of cgm. I use some but not all. Like, I do use products with sulfates sometimes. My hair just feels cleaner that way. Also, as to the dry time, i always wash my hair at night and then plop until it-s mostly dry. Sometimes I diffuse a bit and sometimes not. If you-re getting frizz, you may want to try to scrunch in a hair oil. But, in any event, you do you. Do what makes you feel good and makes you happy. Your hair looks great either way

I have hair like yours, barely 2a and can easily go straight. I gave up the strict cgm and now when I want to wear it wavy I just shower and then randomly scrunch mousse and gel and then diffuse.
Also your hair is soo long, curly/wavy hair gets weighed down like that and you'd probably have better results with a wavy/curly shorter layered cut. But yes it's so much work and personal preference matters! Do whatever you want!

Oh that's funny, I'm here randomly, but then I realize that I've just watched you cgm video and while many comments were about your natural waves, I honestly thought that you've got that result by scrunching. I've got the same result by merely applying some gel or mousse and a little scrunching too, but no plopping or cowashing, which makes my hair flat, as it did yours btw.

I know I am late to this but I feel like if your hair needs that much product and time to look curly there is really nothing -natural- about that. It may be better for the health of your hair but styling is styling, whether you heat style or use tons of product. One method isn-t necessarily superior and nobody should feel guilty for using certain ingredients or methods.

Guys, thats why is called the -curly- method lol people with straight hair dont fight so much with the styling, if you dont have any problem styling your hair. just use products without sulfates for your hair-s health but thats it. The NO brushing rule is to not destroy the curl, but you dont have curls. so you could brush it if you wanted.

I think I would use -some- of the ideas of the curly girl method. Like using some of the products and the -plopping method- if I wanted to sleep with wet hair and just see what it looked like in the morning. I don't think everyone needs to do so many things if it doesn't fit into your lifestyle. You look great with wavy or straight hair.

Idk what is -the curly girl method-, but about the rules that you said, it's kinda normal, no? To you to have a good look in your curly hair, you need to do something abs others no. As the same way with a straight gril. If you are not a natural straight hair person, than there's a lot of things you can't do with your or it'll look a mess.

Girl you did it all or most wrong. and you got it wrong. either way, it needs commitment and it doesn-t sound like you. There isn-t so many rules! We debunked so many of these -rules-. And brushing your hair is great! Nothing bad. Leaving tangles is bad. ALOT of not most people use heat diffusing. I feel like you went in blind.
