Kitten Who Needed An Incubator To Survive Grows Up To Be A Spitfire Little But Fierce A neighbors cat had her singleton in our yard by our shed, he wasnt interested in going to the neighbors yard when he was young and mobile(over 3 months) his mom got sick & died when he was maybe 5 months old and my dad noticed and was feeding him. Eventually he was coaxed into becoming an indoor-outdoor cat of ours. Our other cats werent fans of him so for about a year & a half of his life he was awkward and didnt have much social skills. During his 2nd year of life a kitten of ours (finished getting all the girls spayed after that last litter the kitten mentioned is in) Got attacked by a dog who broke his leg & caused a bad infection (somehow we never knew about the attack until after the fact) so after he became a tripod and was settling to become an indoor cat (who later insisted on being indoor-outdoor) Angel (kitten) met Ghost(awkward cat) And taught him most of the social skills needed to cat. So it was pretty amazing to watch our awkward cat learn the skills. He visits his family in the neighbors yard, we noticed theres another mostly white tom like Ghost so were pretty sure thats his father. Saw a white kitten this past spring, since mom got Ghost neutered we know thats a white sibling of his.

I fostered kittens before I got asthma it is the most heart-breaking feeling to let them go but you have to make room for the next cat a piece of my heart that I will never get back was lost with each one, but the memories are priceless. I never knew what unconditional love was till I met them they had a huge influence on my outlook on life helped me overcome my trust issues and master the courage to upon my heart to people even if it just for a life season the moments you live together are worth it plz try fostering it is the most wonderful experience.

Hated to hear that little Mink died. Happy to see how her brother lived, there will always be a little part of Mink there, in him. I had a tuxedo manx boy who used to keep a tiny tongue poking out, he was the smallest kitten with the biggest, most faithful heart. That loyal, loving heart broke when his larger, marmalade manx brother died unexpectedly at only 11 yrs old. He was so ill after that, he nearly died himself. His vet pulled him through by a miracle of loving care and he survived another 3 years.

she put so much dedication into saving them! at least 1 made it as sad as loosing the other kitty is. she is an awsome kitty mom! godd foster parents (animal or human) are so important and all deserve medals! i could not do it. i could not let go even knowing the bigger picture being saving as many as possible by giving them up. id be the dead lady all the cats, dogs, hamsters nibble on cause i died of starvation feeding the animals and no food left in the house.

I place mine in incubator no matter what, because you can never be too safe about protecting them that way from what might be lurking in the environment.
You might think everything is ok yet you need to have the Vet make sure.
Consult with other experts to protect furry friends.
Be sure to donate to animal rescue even if it's just 5$ a month.

My bf's cat had kittens, she and 5 of the 8 died. 4 died the same day as the mother, and 1 a few days after I left. 3 survived, including the runt who I'd been crying over begging her to please eat the kitten formula I was trying to feed her. She and her 2 bros made it, and she's my most precious baby even though she's not actually my cat.

Very good job, Hannah! You did a fine job of raising Badger, what a cutie! They both had worms with those fat bellies, from mom. So possibly Mink died due to worm infestation. Panacur deworming (Fenbendazole) is safe for kittens. Great job on raising Badger and thank you for the hard work of fostering!

'Kitten Who Needed An Incubator To Survive Grows Up To Be A Spitfire' umm. all kittens need a heat source - incubator - to survive until they're a couple weeks old as they can't thermoregulate. so sad that mink passed away!

Every time I think of fostering kittens, I see stories like this and I think, There's no way. More work than a human baby! I would be sobbing all the time.

I was so sad to hear that Mink did not make it, but I am so glad at the same time that Badger was able to grow up into the strong little fighter that he is!

I think they're a bit fragile to be scraped with a toothbrush at this point. It's not like toothbrushes are designed to remove plaque or anything like that.

This is so sweet! As a British person, hearing the word spunky in terms as a kitten is kinda hilarious because I know it's not meant like that.

one day, i would do this if i find a homeless cat, and i would get help from my mom because she has had so many cats, right now she has 3.
