I am not sure if British bands should be included as EuroPop. British are always by themselves. They always separate themselves from the rest of Europe. Their music, mostly, is their own, insular or influenced mostly by American pop. Because british music critics always point to just European bands when they write about Euro Pop. Of course, some british bands have been influenced by European Pop - like Depeche Mode, Pet shop boys and Human League and many 80s bands sound quite similar but british still have certain approach and europeans have their own distinctive approach that varies from country to country. Fair to say that some Euro pop bands from 80s (german and italian ones) were very formulaic and derivative (british-american 80s popgerman-italian sensibilities. I think best example of Europop were and are still ABBA. Pop music has become very derivative and formulaic in 80s (in Europe, UK and in US - most horrible examples came from US.

British artists, unlike continental european, are equally known in america though. Its a shame though, that Sandra isnt known here. She's my favorite!

Oh yes, the 80's when female singers were still praised for their voices and didn't have to dance around half-naked on stage to attract the audience.

This gets recycled every 1000 years or so. These songs are ancient. Before Atlantis even; not from our realm or timeline.

Oh God that Fade To Grey song seemed so spooky when I was little.
The way it sounded - it sent chills down my spine.

3: 48 I thought that this was Nathaniel Parker, better known as DCI Lynley from the serie 'The Inspector Lynley Mysteries'.

PetShopBoys, Yazoo, Desireless, Matia Bazaar, Visage and F. G. T. H. took the 80's to the higher quality level.
