This series is excellent, and makes me once again interested in checking out more comics.
My only complaint about this video is that in the last one you suggested you would talk about -what was wrong with Watchmen, - ie -How Watchmen failed (comics. - I get the -Watchmen's (potentially misinterpreted) themes limited rather than expanded the thematic content of comics at large. That's a fine observation. but not about how The Watchmen failed at anything. Is your -only- criticism of the comic itself that the creators weren't psychic enough to get a better rights deal?

Even if Doomsday Clock turns out to be great, I just don't like the idea of reviving Watchmen. Watchmen stands on its own and the characters within don't need to be touched. I accept a comic setting after the events of Watchmen within the Watchmen universe, but don't bring the other comic characters into the Watchmen universe. please. Maybe this will match my desires. I should give it a try.

I guess I'll look into it. I mean, I bought all the Before Watchmen material, and found most of it to be pretty decent. The Dollar Bill one-shot is surprisingly my favorite of the bunch. I suppose having Geoff Johns write it would also be more preferable than someone else. I did enjoy his JSA: Next Age and Thy Kingdom Come stories, but was not too pleased with Black Adam and Isis.

Thank you so much for these two videos on Watchmen! After your last one I immediately went and bought myself a copy of Watchmen to finally read it. And now you've also introduced me to Doomsday Clock. It sounds fascinating. I can't wait to see if it all comes together or not. Promise us you'll put out a review here when the series ends!

If anyone can do it, it's Geoff Johns. and oh my do i hate that so much
His work on Green Lantern was so promising that i have nothing but hope for Doomsday Clock, and that puts me severely over the edge as a guy who thinks that Watchmen should've just stayed secluded from the rest of the DCU

I can-t stand to observe anything related to Watchmen that isn-t from Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. Had they been given the rights, we could-ve gotten a proper sequel. Instead we got a horrible prequel, and bad movie, and a soon to be terrible TV show.

Issue 1 of Doomsday Clock is pretty good so far. You should go to your local Comic Book Store and pick up a copy.
Also Rebirth is also really good and you should check it out if you get the chance.

Issue At Hand is such a fantastic series. I think Susana absolutely kills it and I haven't felt this connected to the comic book world since I was a kid with a big stack of Green Lanterns.

25 Freaking Months! It took them 25 entire months to get this 12-issue series published! What a catastrophe! By the end, a lot of us didn't even care any more!
