I watched the official Anet video preview for the expansion. I feel so bad about how amazing GW1 felt during beta weekends, then to see how bland and lame (with modern fancy particle fx etc. to distract you) the Guild Wars franchise has become, in particular the combat. I did see one model that was a rectangular pool with water spilling over that seemed nice.

Love the game but can't play with the mastery system, I hate the idea and levelling it is so boring. Let me quest, dungeon or pvp up and I'll be happy, but don't get me doing the same shit over and over to level a system that teaches me a new mechanic that doesn't help my character other than to need that mechanic to progress through the game.

Or maybe fix your old game before adding cherry coated crap on top of it. I quit because my main is stuck in the storyline in a quest that still isn't fixed, which -resets- after completion. I've done it three times and I hate it. Done.

ITT: People still being salty that GW2 isn't GW1. We get it, you wanted a sequel to GW1 and got a completely different game. Its been 5 years and people are playing gw2 for gw2, not gw1.

This game still exists? Easily the biggest dissapointment, it was such a good game at launch and they chose to do literally the worst possible thing at every turn.

All solo gameplay. I miss the instances in GW1 with the mission sets and chat spamming for parties, guilds, and items.
