Seeing Snow White on the cover really makes me happy. She gets so much crap nowadays because she doesn’t fight, she falls in love quickly, she doesn’t do much. But I actually just watched that movie a couple of days ago and I completely disagree with pretty much all of that. Snow White has one of the roughest Disney character lives ever. She seems to be an orphan which that in itself is sad. Her stepmother treats her like trash and then tries to literally CUT HER HEART OUT. Snow White has to then run away from her own home (a home that would’ve been hers before the Queens because the Queen was her father’s second marriage) and then live in a little cottage with seven strange men. But those seven men love her and protect her. She thanks them for their protection in the way that she knows how: Keeping house for them while they’re out doing their jobs. She treats the men (and everyone else she comes into contact with for that matter) with kindness and gentleness. Even the old hag who’s the queen in disguise. Because we the audience know it’s the Evil Queen we want her to turn the old woman away. But what Snow White sees is a helpless old woman who is tired and seems to need help. So she offers her that help. Then she gets MURDERED by her stepmother (who only murders her because she’s prettier and kinder than the Queen is herself) The dwarves give her this beautiful funeral all for a girl they barely know because she’s been so kind and loving towards them. Then she of course gets woken by True Love’s Kiss by a guy that she’s already in love with so it’s not like he forces himself on her. She finally gets to live happily ever after with that guy. Similar to Cinderella Snow White is someone who doesn’t show her strength through fighting big battles, making cool comebacks, doing tough things but she arguably lives through harder situations than a lot of those tough characters and she stays her same kind, compassionate self. Not many people could live through what she lives through and stay as good, innocent and kind as she does. I will always stick up for the earlier Disney Princesses but especially Snow White because she gets probably the most hate. I love her and honestly am inspired by her.

So at the beginning of the video, you guys mentioned B. E. N. from Treasure Planet, but you actually didn't put him anywhere on this list Really, Mojo He had every right to be on here because not only is he crucial to the plot, but he was also based on the character of Ben Gunn from the original Treasure Island story. He may be a crazy and talkative klutz, but that doesn't mean he contributes nothing to the story. He was Captain Flint's personal navigator and he was the only one left who knew about the location of the legendary Loot of a Thousand Worlds. There are some things that happen in the movie to prove he was necessary: 1. He helped Jim Hawkins, Morph, Dr. Doppler, and Captain Amelia take shelter and especially hide in his hut from John Silver and his pirate gang. 2. He showed Jim the backdoor in his hut as a way to sneak past Silver and the pirates undetected so Jim can get back onboard the RLS Legacy and retrieve the map. 3. He disabled the ship's cannon (which he was ordered to do so by Jim) as a precaution, even though he almost got Jim murdered by Scroop, but managed to get Scroop killed off by floating high into never-ending space, so there's that. 4. When he finally got his memory chip back on his head, B. E. N. told Jim that before Flint died, he setup the entire titular planet to self-destruct in case anyone ever managed to gain access to the Centroid of the Mechanism to steal his massive trove since it was the most precious and valuable thing to him in all of the Etherium. He'd never let all of it be taken away from him, even a century after his demise. Which was the reason why Flint ripped out B. E. N. 's memory chip in order to prevent him from not only telling anyone exactly where Flint's trove is, but also warning anyone about the whole planet being booby-trapped. And 5. While everybody onboard the ship was escaping from Treasure Planet as it was just minutes away from exploding, he notified everyone how much time there was left 'til it went kaboom. In conclusion, he's just one of the many, many reasons why the film's such an underrated masterpiece. Both he and the movie deserve better. But as usual, you left the movie including him off of this list for obvious and biased reasons.

I would add the crows to Dumbo to this list. Most of them get a lot of hate due to the fact many accuse them of being racial stereotypes of African-Americans and their leader being named Jim Crow after the controversial law that segregated African-Americans for over a century and being voiced by a white man imitating a black man, being Cliff Edwards who many would recognize as the voice of Jiminy Cricket. While some of the African-American traits the crows exhibit is undeniable, at the same time they were never intended to be racial stereotypes but caricatures of black jazz musicians, hence the jazz-style tune of their song When I See An Elephant Fly. And they are INTEGRAL characters since it is they that help Dumbo learn & discover his ability of flight with his ears and use that gift to finally overcome his misfortunes and the ridicule he faced because of said ears. Compare this to other Disney characters that are criticized for racial stereotyping like Si and Am from Lady at the Tramp and the Native Americans from Peter Pan where, to be honest, you could tweak those films’ respective stories to remove them without little consequence of affecting the narratives whereas removing the crows from Dumbo would greatly affect the story and the climax. Even other African-Americans have defended them, especially legendary Disney animator Floyd Norman and actress and comedian Whoopi Goldberg, with the latter expressing to see merchandise of them. So if African-Americans aren’t offended, what’s the point of hating them or excluding them from recent book adaptations of Dumbo

Ariel’s one of my favorite Disney princesses, so it makes me mad that she keeps getting criticism from fans. She’s kind, brave, adventurous, open-minded, and loving. Those are traits I love in a character and I feel like I can relate to Ariel a bit. I too want to experience more than just my home, and regarding her deal with Ursula, let’s remember that right before that, king triton destroyed her human collection in blind rage leaving her heartbroken. Ariel was emotionally vulnerable at the time and Ursula took advantage of that, and while talking to Ursula, Ariel wasn’t sure about taking the offer as she didn’t want to leave her family behind before ursula manipulated her. So yeah, it’s no wonder Ariel took the deal, she thought it was the only way to get to know Eric more and her father’s actions blinded her thinking

Olaf and Alma Madrigal don't belong on this list. Both of them deserve all the hate they get because both they and their movies are overrated and awful. Olaf's such an annoying, dumb, and pointless sidekick, while also being total merchbait. Alma's such a horrible, cruel, and toxic old woman who had been controlling and emotionally-abusing her whole family for years and years all because her husband was mercilessly-killed by bandits while trying to protect his wife and kids. We're supposed to feel really bad for her, but throughout the entirety of Encanto, she has proven herself to be nothing but an unlikable and unsympathetic character. Even her apology at the end wasn't enough to make up for all the psychological damage she had inflicted upon the Madrigal clan, especially Mirabel and Bruno.

Ariel and Snow White DO NOT deserve the hate! They’re both my favorite Disney princess and their movies were some of my childhood favorites! And as a bonus reason for them, the actors who play them in the live action remakes don’t deserve the hate either! Yes, Rachel Zelger thought that Snow White was weird and scary, but the original story itself was already messed up too (Snow White was only 7 and was being stalked by a 18 year old, and Rachel’s still pretty young, but she grew into fame by West Side Story, which was absolutely phenomenal! And Halle Bailey was beautiful as Ariel! She really let her heart out on the songs, especially the reprise of Part of Your World! And the fact she was the first to audition and was immediately chosen makes it even more amazing!

Taran from The Black Cauldron has so much hate and it gets me because his arc is pretty similar to Merida's minus the whole turning someone into a bear. He learns the true meaning of heroism and willingly gives up his sword to revive Gurgi. Yet the Disney fandom treats him almost as badly as Warner Brothers treats Scrappy Doo. Heck, Disney themselves treat Taran pretty badly, given his one scene in Once Upon A Studio has him LITERALLY get overshadowed by the princess, even Eilonwy gets more spotlight than he did. TBH, I'd actually love to see him get a villain arc where he feels unappreciated, which would then turn into a redemption arc, similar to Varian from Tangled The Series. The two share a few similarities as well.

10. One of my favorite Disney Princesses
9. Always liked Donald.
8. Always liked Olaf. One of the most important and best elements of the story.
7. He had flaws, but never too many.
6. These three are essential to the plot.
5. He's also really great.
4. One of my least favorite Disney Princesses, and I never liked her film (the sequel's much better. But there are still some good qualities.
3. Woody's one of the very best! And I like both him and Buzz best in this franchise.
2. Don't know for sure about her.
1. Highly disagree. My least favorite Disney Princess, always hated her (especially her squeaky voice. However, I still like certain things about her.

Thank you so much for putting Lightning on the list guys! Sure, he does act like a selfish, arrogant asshole in the first movie, but he learns his lessons later on that life isn't all about money and some empty cup. He is hated for being an asshole but what most don't realize is that he has a nicely thought out redemption arc. Cut my favorite race car a break. Same can be said for Woody kind of. He and Lightning McQueen kind of share similar character arcs. Both learn that being perfect isn't everything. In Woody's case, while I didn't see it at first, he does act like an ass to Buzz at the start, but he grows along the way, like Lightning does.

Didn't you put Merida, Woody and Ariel (The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea) in your lists about Disney characters who were basically the villain of their respective films I'm not sure if this is you seeing reason now or another example of you not getting your priorities straight. You should also think about the parental/authority figures who seem angry or over-protective but that's just because they're trying to look out for those that they're charged with. I also find it ironic that the ones who hate those characters are largely kids who think they are buzzkills, while the comic relief ones are hated by adults for being silly.

Another characters who should be here is Sequel Simba. Beause he's still as likable as in the original movie, he just made a-lot mistakes after everything he went throught and had to watch the consequences of his actions to be a decente king.
Also Tramp, from Lady and the Tramp, who went from ladies man, to a loyal gentleman.
The same goes to Kerchak from Tarzan, who just lost a son and it was hard to deal with that and the idea of replacing him with a child that wasn't an ape. And at the end of the day, he only wanted is to protect his family, and died reggreting for never seeing Tarzan as his son.

I don’t side with the people that criticize the early Disney Princesses because they think that they’re bland or underdeveloped. What I think is that Walt Disney was more concerned about telling excellent stories that the audience would enjoy and to make the heroines characters that the audience cared about and would be on their side and cheer after their wish came true. And I think the films succeeded in that. A review of the 2015 live action Cinderella said that she wasn’t very active towards the end. At least in the animated version she told her animal friends to fetch her dog to beat the cat.

The only one on this list who deserve ALL the Hate is Abuela: I don't give a fried duck that boohoo, my husband died, she kept bullying her own family into being perfect, allowed her son to be treated like an outcast and put all the blame for the dying magic on her own granddaughter AS A TODDLER! If anything, she basically acted like a Queenpin in that village, afraid to lose her authority. So, yes, she clearly got off easy!
Sorry but, in real life, you cannot just say Whoopsie, my bad! Teehee! and act like you weren't just responsible for decades of mental abuse on several people.

Never mind different characters that do or don't deserve hate. Almost any classic movie or story nowadays is open to debate and different perspectives, but those don't hinder them from still being rewatched and popular (especially since every individual has their own preferences. Just look at movies like The Wizard of Oz and Jurassic Park! Those two alone are acknowledged to have several different plot holes and inaccuracies in terms of logic, but they are still beloved to this day by different generations and aired on different networks on a regular basis.

Merida is a normal teen who has issues with her mom. I think it has to do with the social fear of a teen girl. She's quite independent and self-reliant. It's the hate geared toward Mai-Mai from Turning Red. Still adressing those changes in a modern storyline exploring the mother-daughter relationship. Riley from Inside Out doesn't get this level of hate because the focus is more on her emotions. However, after the sequel, there's talk of Riley's gender identity.

Apparently, the people who hate most characters on this list, characters like Merida and Lightning McQueen for example, don't like it when they have flaws or go through a character arc. True, it's nice to see a character that's kind and loving and while a good amount of movie/tv shows have that but the point of having characters that go through character arcs are for them to grow as characters, learn from mistakes, become a better living being.

With Snow White, it depends what Era you were raised. When I was little, I looked up to Snow White. She has dark hair and brown eyes. I loved the story, too. It's not about finding Prince Charming. Though other women like Rachel Zegler were little when I was a teenager. When things changed for Disney Princess. Snow White, unfortunately, gets not enough kudos, unlike other princesses. Just to mention, she is one of the first Disney princess.

What about Alice from Alice in Wonderland Walt Disney himself disliked Alice’s lack of heart or more specifically, the fact there isn’t much to her. Heck he disowned the whole movie feeling that it failed at the box office because it lacked heart. Even though it’s regarded as one of Disneys best today, it’s hard to believe that there was a time when the movie was shunned by the public on its initial release

These characters on this list definitely don't deserve the hate especially sweet characters like Ariel and Snow White, sure these two have flaws but they don't deserve the hate. Joy from Inside Out is the same way, sure she pushed Sadness aside but she learned her lesson in the end. Plus im happy Merida is in here because she doesn't deserve any hate either along with The Gargoyles, I find them funny too.
