henry cavill was not superman. he was an emotionless alien that wasn t relatable at all. superman is supposed to have a god like body but with a human mind since he was raised by humans. they made the right call replacing him

Its all about money. They can't afford to pay him what he deserves. And so its just easier for them to start over and try to build it up back up with lesser known actors. Actors that they can afford.

They wasted a golden opportunity with Cavill imo and this ultimately is why I have never been a great fan of DC characters. inconsistency and lack of creativity and ingenuity.
