We’ll find out in time if black ops 7 fails. Theres one way it definitely does. If they put on a mask and say all these micro transactions, including the ones you don’t like won’t carry over to the next game, just to add that cartoon crap a few months into the next game, that’s the bs they won’t come back from. They can’t string us along this time. They simply can’t with how the community already feels and with other alternatives. It’s not even a matter of alternatives. Cod is just so not what it was’to the point where it makes itself not an option for the experience cod fans are going for. We’re finding out most of us are less cod fans, and more fans of the gritty, grounded multiplayer FPS experience in general. If the series is gonna stray THAT far from the experience we’ve come to expect then we will find the option that does. That option will be there this year. And Activision could make their biggest mistake in the coming months. If they don’t let the cartoon skins crossover only to add new ones in after a few months of saving face, all sides of the community will hate them. The ones who liked the skins can’t use them in the new game, the ones who hated them have to deal with it again, and the franchise stoops to an even deeper level of greedy bs.

About triple A games: How in the name of everything that's holy do you spend 450 Million plus on making, for example, the next Black Ops All the Call of Duty games are fundamentally the same. A campaign mode (sometimes, a multiplayer mode and shooting mechanics. It's basically just a re-skin of previous games. New story, new multiplayer maps, new skins to sell, done.
These huge companies are basically burning money at an unsustainable rate to bring us something that is not innovative, new or next level.
Look at Expedition 33. A game that looks good, plays great, has some innovative game play (sort of) and a decent length. 30 million! Starting from the ground up. Triple A companies should really look at their overhead and ask the Spreadsheet Jockeys where all the money goes.

I think the Sony part sums up why this generation of console feels like the absolute worst in. Forever really.
Instead of delivering awesome new games, usually exclusives like uncharted, gears of war etc, they just tried to make the golden goose with live service.
Results for me is clear, I've bought 3 freaking games since launch. THREE.
That rivals my N64, although N64 was because we were sharing games with my friends at school. Ps5 is just because there are really no great games or they're on pc or it's freaking online games.
I don't see ps6 get any better though.

I bought No Man's Sky upon release, after keeping up with the news, and most importantly, after reading the devs post like the day before launch. That post told you exactly what NMS was and didn't lie, and clarified a bunch of stuff, and on release that was true. Anyway, I didn't play it much. Maybe a few hours, then forgot about it until a few months ago. So, props to them. They have made so many improvements to the game its insane, and they're still doing it, as evidenced by this cool new patch. Props to them. They are good devs. I'm very much looking forward to the new game.

I hope gaming doesn’t lean TOO far into AI, like I still want human emotional voice acting, and human care put into it. Like all those dumb little unnecessary details, or Easter eggs and references. The stuff that you know somebody put in just because they thought it would be cool, funny or entertaining in some way. That said there’s totally a place in gaming for AI to help relieve developers of some of the crunch, and just to help smooth things over or like fill in the blanks

I don't care about ship building in NMS- they saw what Starfield did and mimicked it(which is fine- Starfield's ship building is amazing. All I care about is that they threw in a tidbit of information about Light No Fire. It's one of the very few games I'm actually hyped about.
So Larian hitting the ball out of the park again. Love those guys!
Those ROBLOX players sure love their pedo platform.
It astounds me the levels people will go to in order to cheat.

We gonna mention Roblox but not include the part where they've effectively placed their profit margins over the safety of children on their platform
How their stock tanked after their disastrous responses, how the game has been flat banned in several countries, how there is now a lawsuit being filed by politicians and how the words 'Free Schlep' have been straight censored in the game.
That should be #1 over a prototype sort-of-but-not-really aimbot.

neural rendering is cool for the following reasons:
(but for real it potentially opens up graphical fidelity we didn't know was possible, that being said new technology is rarely used effectively and for good reason, and instead it will likely be a UE5 thing, which allows 'good enough' results to come about easier, leading to unoptimized games or in the case of rendering, inconsistent and poor animation [at least for now]: / )

Also, Go Head of Larian.
Of course the person who brought an epic creativity engine like Divinity 2, the BG3,
has a storng opinion of other game designers.
Also, Iam hella interested in a pokemon/Silent Hill blender project.
You asked what the hell is going on here
Thats clearly a evo-weepingbell type doing an Exorcist Nod
by vomiting poison every which way.

Light No Fire will be the what Skull and Bones should have been and this will be just 1 concept combined in the game, loving the NMS patch btw too, makes Starfield look shameful in comparison; Hello Games is really showing the industry how it's done from the biggest comeback in gaming history to what they have achieved since is remarkable and I can't wait to get LNF.

Activision announced in the same CoD announcement that all skins and cosmetics in the next game would match the Black Ops 7 aesthetic.
I hate being that guy, but they literally caved in, listened, and gave us what we want. How in the world was it not a consumer-friendly move (besides the fact that it's Activision, of course)

Number 6, I can't support any company using AI tools that could have been designed by an actual artist, motion capture artist etc. Sure they claim they can make so much more with it but really its so they can save money and not pay artists. Any game that I know uses this I will not buy the game. Simple

Cod stopping the carry forward was the worst thing they could’ve done and I have no idea why people are celebrating it and taking Activisions word. They’re still going to release wacky skins in bo7 during season 1 that look like the ones in bo6 and consumers are just losing out on paid content.

I think it’d be cool if something like a chatbot was built in to game and you use your headsets microphone to talk to the game and have your own unique dialogue sequences from time to time in games like fallout they tell you what your objectives are and everything else is completely unique

I love games for the hard work and creativity the devs put into it.
If they're start using AI, they can F right off, not interested.
When I see a company announce they're going to use AI, or that a product is made using AI, I automatically assume it's a poorly made garbage product.

The guy’s an idiot. You never claim that stuff as business expenses unless you are discussing business while playing them. What you do is claim them as medical deductions as they contribute to your mental well being and bring joy joy feelings to those around you.

This is an inflection point where developers skills are surrendered to an AI system, where human direction ends and Skynet starts making decisions, it starts with small unimportant decisions then later decides what you can eat, watch, think, believe and accept.

I’ve fell out of love with gaming unfortunately sick of the grab games and shite excuses. EA for example have blocked my ea account for bullying I have only played bf6 beta and that’s it now they won’t let me back on to my old bf games. Money and time wasted

Regarding BlackOps 7, Activision could've just grouped people playing with those skins into similar lobbies. You want cartoonish battle, get it right over here in lobbies A through K. You want gritty realism, get it over there in lobbies L through Z.

What I don't get it: Why were CoD skins ever cross release Cross game Like, could I have a skin from Blops 1 in Future Warfare I don't know how CoD skins work, never got them. I just play the campaigns for free on Gamepass.
