I'm wholeheartedly feeling a certain kind of way about South of Midnight.
There genuinely aren't nearly enough games out in the zeitgeist that are not only centered SOLELY on Black characters, but existing in that space and still appearing to have a mid to high budget.
As an African-American gamer, I'm constantly begging the industry to give us more Black stories. And now I'm seeing one and it's locked down the Xbox in an effort to try to get people like me to spend money they don't have for a system that I'm only looking at for a single title that I'm interested in.
Isn't Microsoft supposed to be moving beyond the whole system exclusivity bullsit in an effort to hit more demographics and make more money Isn't this supposed to be the year of everything is an Xbox
I HATE this.
I genuinely pray that South of Midnight is a timed exclusive and that it will eventually release on other systems.

I wanted to get into Dragon age, I really did, but it had a bug at release that stopped you loading your saves back up unless you did them on an SSD and I'm not going out of my way to buy another SSD (besides the one my operating system is on) just to avoid a bug that shouldn't be there.
It's like the new Indiana Jones game, I'd have to buy a new graphics card to play it and it's just not worth it when they could've just made a low graphics setting that didn't require it. I honestly hope it does terribly so they stop pushing so hard on minor graphics improvements, this isn't like the era of PS1 to PS2 to PS3 type graphic jumps, the difference is so miniscule I don't see the point.

Personally, I am so excited for South of Midnight. I know We Happy Few has its issues, but the story in that game is one of the best I have ever seen in a video game. I hope that Compulsion learned from the issues with the first major game they released, and I will anxiously await Jake's before you buy.
Also, as a Sims player, hearing thatt EA is worried about profits just makes me super annoyed because you know Sims is about to get 15 kits and 4 expansion packs that release in a broken state just so they can get their money back.

I have bad feelings about the new kid in ninja gaiden. Looks like generic slop. Pandering to teenagers, but there's no need to, because Hayabusa was already cool as f when I played those games as a teenager. As for the plot, they already had a perfectly befitting rival village pinnacle ninja in the form of Hayate, and I can bet money that he would fit the narrative just as well as the new kid. I really hope this one will be good, but I wish we got Hayabusa some Hayate, instead of the new kid some Hayabusa.

i've been gaming since 2007, and the worst video game i have ever had the displeasure of playing is EA's FC25, the gameplay is so bad it feels like a joke, the game is so poorly optimized that it is unplayable on 60 fps on my 4060 super Ryzen 7 device, the same device that runs BO6 smoothly on 144 fps, it's literally filled with gambling and addiction strategies which is disgusting, on top of being a yearly release with no changes and just 60$ getting scammed off of you, it's my first and last EA product I ever buy.

You were bored with the story You played 4 hours you don’t know tf story like at all you’re playing a preview. Yasuke is supposed to be slow he’s a tank they’re slow it’s his literal playstyle that’s why you switch between the 2 she’s quick she plays more like an assassin cause that’s her style so use her. Yasuke towers of everybody else in the game and is 100 pounds heavier and you’re surprised he’s slower and can’t parkour Mfers are slow af

I feel like playstation is doing this pivot. And I think a lot of it was Jim Ryan. Thank god that pos left. I think playstation is worse in the ps5 generation compared to ps4, only because of decisions he made a long time ago. Hopefully the ps6 generation picks it back up and we can go back to that ps2/4 type of generation with actually good games and real meaningful changes to hardware.

I really sincerely hope EA takes an enormous financial walloping for the next little while for all the harm they've caused and absolutely terrible business decisions they've made over the years. They can come back smarter and better in the future having learned some hard lessons about how to treat people and what we as gamers want from OUR industry in the future.

A few things. Went and looked at the DOOM gameplay footage from the event; good stuff coming here in a few months. That team working on it is just massive, way up from the original 4-7 in 1993, heh.
Also that new Tokyo racing game, saw that on a good friends stream yesterday, it did look quite nice. Good to see it mentioned here after just hearing about it.

I honestly thought this last xbox direct was the best I ever watched, all games look interesting. Let's hope!
PS: also, I would like to add, I saw many posts saying the protagonist from south of midnight is ugly. I don't think she's ugly at all, just a normal black young lady and, for this game, I feel like she is the perfect protagonist.

As far a dragon age goes, games come out so crappy now that I'm waiting a year or more for it to get fixed up, maybe have a game of the year edition that includes any dlc, then I'll pay for 1-month of a subscription and play it. Even ignoring the price, brand new games are almost never worth my time. I'll play them once they're good and ready.

DA Veilguard is a good game but it's not a good DA game. Waiting 9 years. 9. for something this divergent from the other games is a huge disappointment. People don't want to wait a decade for the next installment of the story. Then add on something that looked like DA Disney and of course it's not what fans wanted.

EA - that makes me laugh (sorry folks) - Dragon Age VG cost around 250 million to make - and if they only have 1. 5million players - then they have roughly made a fraction over 100 million for the game to date - to break even I suspect they needed around 3. 6 million purchases at full price to break even.

Just completed indiana jones. played in moderate difficulty but in last voss fight. I had to switch to easy mode. maybe because I didn't upgrade health not sure there even was life upgrade in that game. but i saw radbrad gameplay he has longer health bar.
. wish to finish stalker 2 also.

I love Dragon Age and was waiting and incredibly excited for a Dragon Age 4 after the ending of Inquision. gutted we waited 10 years for what we actually got. Sure it may be a okay game in it's own right but this Dragon Age and following Inquision, it could of and should of been legendary

NINJA GAIDEN IS BACK! NG2 Remaster, NG 2D game and NG4 announced. We are so back. And platinum games is working on it with Team Ninja, its gonna be good.
Idk what flops you said Platinum had, but when i hear that name i think Nier Automata best game of 2017, so i trust them

I think Sony’s heading in the right direction. I think they wanted to at least give the games that were already in production a chance, just to not fully make the devs time wasted, but leaning toward we aren’t doing this. So I think it’s a GOOD sign on the cancellation.

I'm not the audience for them, so I won't miss more live service games. I really enjoyed Dragon Age Veilguard, though. Played at launch, and I'm on my third run now. I know people had issues with the game, but for me it hit just right. I think it's fantastic.

I love seeing live service games get scrapped. Because imo live service should have less games than normal multiplayer or single player. Live service usually is overwhelmed with anti consumer shit. Hope one day companies won’t pursue live service games.
