Most of these I missed. Maybe because of script bugs. I did check out the dialogue options, the stick-around-and-listen, but they are missing lines, which is really sad (albeit unsurprising for Shizzard) considering the expac is near its end. Giving that away for free now gave me a good reminder of what to expect in the future, too. Likely worse than this.
As always, the art is enslaved by the business. The story is generally quite alright, even though there is of course the sighworthy bits to push the gameplay context.
The story of Shadowlands seems very comtemporarily important to heed, and I wonder whether anyone does ponder it deeply and can affect the world in a positive way, or whether it is mostly just delusion or ignorance. - Hard to say whether the world today would be even worse without such material conveyed or no different.

While others are not a fan of Arthas' fate, I think it's kind of fitting. Arthas went through so much control and manipulations throughout the years before he's killed. And even then, we would know that his soul was in the Jailer's hands from that moment, going through even more twisting and warping. It makes sense that his soul just vanishes. He's tired and just wants to rest. His theme gently playing in the end just kills me though. Arthas is what got me into WoW after becoming obsessed with his character in Warcraft 3. It's such a bittersweet moment, but now he's without a doubt at peace.

I was just thinking about something here
Imagine (yes it's hard with SL) if at the end of SL we can just go to the Arbiter et ask him where is your fav character (like -Hey Sylvanas has freed Anduin Lothar. Wanna hang out together? - And then you just get to talk to him and listen to his lore and amazing adventures. And he actually interact with people coming into the shadow lands like khadgar or even thrall or alleria.
Just having a little bit of bonus lore as a -congrats you've made to the end of SL-. That's could've been cool right?

You know, about a year later looking back at how Shadowlands ended, and having just watched the cinematic for TWW- it-s not as awful as I first thought. The Jailer bit is still absolute garbage, but PTSD Anduin is actually interesting. Denathrius was really fun, too. Something tells me he-s going to be very involved in the upcoming World Soul Saga as well.
Unfortunately, with Anduin coming back- I think there-s a chance they bring Sylvanas back too. There hasn-t been enough time for the damage done to her character to be handwaved away yet.

I declare I just occasionally follow the lore, and I waited for the end of this arc to get something. I guess, now even Sylvanas haters have to admit she had a fair and non-hypocritical punishing redemption, like many similar fictional charachters didn't slightly have - Kerrigan and Obito can be quoted. That's my thought, and that's how anti-heroes should end. That said, now the lore would have a (somehow) satisfaying end, but I fear something else is still obviusly on the way - but what further Dragon Ball deity can possibly be now?

What new found remorse? I don't hear any remorse from the banshee. She's never had a conscience. She -accepts judgment- when there is no alternative for her. I see no agony of soul for anything she's done. Arthas controlled her will for a time, but she reclaimed it long ago. She agrees here that everything she's done since was of her own free will. She remembers everything she's done with no apology or excuse. In what sense is this a redemption of the character?

I don't know how most people feel about this ending but I actually liked it. I really thought Sylvannas was going to get off with no punishment because -she was being manipulated- which would've been so unsatisfying. But she isn't completely to blame so her being executed would've been wrong too. Some time in a basically hell seems like a fitting punishment.

These cutscenes are so fcking bad for being a million dollar company- we are in 2023 now, this is just below the lowest of standards. And what the hell are these sceneries? Shadowlands had some good ideas and some good moments but mostly the worst expansion Wow ever had in terms of role play and lore and story and everything to that, gameplay was good

It's infuriating how little contempt that the characters hold for Sylvanas after everything she did. Literally a mass murderer, tried to destroy the universe but then her sisters are like 'I'm so sorry you're being punished' and she get's sentenced to little less than community service. for an immortal being that has lived for hundreds of years.

I hate this new version of Tyrande so much, they destroyed the character, both in terms of her appearance, and in terms of personality, this. thing, is not Tyrande, never was Tyrande, and will never be. I am so glad I quit Wow at the end of Legion, this mess is purely and simply an insult to human intelligence and creativity.

I mean, if grinding basicly is the goal of the game, only to yet face another 'bad thing in some bad expension', if redemption and clearing your entire history of baddy doing is all Sylvannas has to do. i wont mind joining her. Those current dragon family fued crap i dont think sylvannas got that bad of a deal.

As a Warcraft 3 player, it's sorta sad it has taken almost 20 years for WoW players to really understand how bad the lore got butchered. It wasn't about being afraid of change, or writers taking risks. It was about the quality of writing slowly degrading as Blizzard turned complex characters into raid bosses.
reply

You know, sometimes badguys don't need redemption. Illidan did obviously because he needed it from the crimes of the dev team but Arthas shoulda stayed unredeemed and Syl, whom they decided to torpedo to evil incarnate didn't either. Garrosh maybe deserves redemption

Wow suport rus they shud remove rus from wow and Blizzard and add Polish years wow hot bigest players ar Polish mising voice dialogs for players when do misions you onle shake head like retard and test wall shud be dialog voice like Star Wars old republic

Why does Anduin have a crisis of conscience after stabbing one being when under mind control while Sylvanas acts like she merely has to pay a parking fine? She has acted of her own free will and those she tortured or murdered cannot be counted.
reply

Are we sure it's cool leaving the leadership of the elves to someone who's ignored the threat of the legion like. 3. 4 times? I'm mean not even just ignore but straight up take actions that pretty much strengthened their chances?
reply

Genn to Lor'Themar: As for me, peace is something I will never know. Not while the monster who killed by son still endures.
Genn to Anduin, 2 minutes later: Those actions were not your fault! You cannot blame yourself.

I'm so disgusted with Activision/-Blizzard- for how theyve handled WoW since Cata. I havent enjoyed any MMORPG at all since the end of Cata, it was the last time WoW felt like something special to me.
reply

Personally I would have made Sylvanas-s memory of being a Banshee Queen be erased so it would be harder to punish her
Or I-d have made Sylvanas-s ranger general half simply refuse to merge

reply

Sending just her down to recover all of them. Aren't they just punishing all those suck down there for ages until she finds them? Why not send everyone and judge/rejudge everyone in the maw?
reply

real shame they didn't give Arthas a renewal or a chance to make penance. from the story that came out from those around him, he should have been given a new life with a different identity.
reply

I love how oblivious Tyrande is to the fact that Sylvana's eye color is blue now, not red. You'd think she'd be more observant and make the connection that something is different?
reply

Everyone submits eventually. Well played Banshee, better to beg for forgiveness than to ask permission, she can't help her nature. Using the skill of manipulation to survive.
reply

Elune let it happen. Elune said so herself that she let the elves die to answer the call of the Winter Queen. But Sylvanas becomes the scapegoat for Elune's decision? okayyyyy.
reply

At least Arthas can fade away knowing he was the only one who had the pleasure of banging the most powerful human sorceress alive in all of Azeroth.
RIP the one true king.

reply

This is harder watching it from a distance. The outright mess shadowlands and bfa was. I thought about trying dragonflight, but then these videos popped up and I can't do it.
reply

When anduin was kidnapped at the beginning of shadowlands and greymane immediately yells -sylvanas! - Made me think greymane would blame sylvanas if he stubbed his toe
reply

True Ending: Sylvanas gets executed slowly and as horribly as possible and everyones happy, the end. Literally NO reason to do this she deserves oblivion lmfao.
reply

Tyrande: - You will basically be there forever. -
Owl: - Sounds good. -
Tyrande: - And my bird will keep watch over you. -
Owl: - SAY SIKE RIGHT NOW -

reply

Honestly, a more fitting punishment would have been the one described here, but with one subclause, -When you're finished, leave Nathanos behind. -.
