I think everyone's missing the point. It's not -emotions and human-ness bad-, it's -emotions and human-ness are bad for the job of bringing people to death court without any funny business. - Everyone gets tried, based on some fantasy perfectly-neutral system, and the kyrians only need to bring them. So what happens when a kyrian goes to pick someone up and surprise surprise, it's their best friend. Hmmm that's weird, no idea why my best buddy died in the electric chair since in my experience he was a swell guy, would never do any harm. Now he's telling me that he was framed for child rape and got the death sentence unfairly. Aw shucks well clearly in my finite human experience and time with him, he would neeeeeeever do anything like that so I'll just bring him to bastion too (I'm sure the trial would've deemed him a good guy anyways.
At first, I felt sympathy for the fallen kyrians, since their doubts and fears are understandable. The problem is humans are also really bad at being impartial. Our mortal justice systems and their upholders are prey to their own biases, and for the role of deciding where someone ends up until the end of time, that is utterly unacceptable. Can you imagine how many innocent allies/hordies would end up in the maw if you let someone like Garrosh or Daelin (proudmoore) be a kyrian? You could make an argument that kyrians should be trained to be impartial while keeping their emotions and memories, but even a paragon like Devos who's underwent and passed all the trials can still feel doubt and bias. You would be expecting normal mortals to have more levelheadedness than a paragon -while- retaining all that which creates bias.

the Jailers voice is terribly done Blizzard please fix this his voice is dull and we cannot hear what he is saying if volume is not cranked up to max I am listening this through really nice quality studio speakers also tried to listen through high quality headphones also listened in latest 4K tv, and numerous other devices and clearly the jailers voice is dull and is quieter than other characters same in the trailer this character must be menacing just atleast BOOST his voice so we can clearly hear him like other characters I do understand that there are FX(effects) on his voice but that does not mean his voice must be so dull!

I honestly hate how people call this -lazy- writing because angels are being -corrupted- but let's be honest, getting back your emotions, remembering your old life isn't corruption it's you being you.
I feel like in Bastion -purity- is the true corruption, because you are forcing people to forget everything about who they were, their family, their lives etc. The souls are being forced to forget to ascend, now THAT is terrible.
