Hiya Folks! Seconds from death, Varian-s life flashes before his eyes while also summarizing the conflict between Horde & Alliance, and the struggle & responsibilities of being a King.
A duty that has now been passed down to his son, Anduin. (This was originally meant to be the intro & outro for my Varian Movie but I felt it was a bit jumbled so I took it out. I made a few adjustments & re-uploaded for those who-d like to see it)-
Here-s the script that served as the layout: -
-You will be remembered as the king who sacrificed his life for nothing--
-I-I was not at the Wrathgate, but the soldiers who survived told me much of what happened. Your son fought with honor. He died a hero-s death. He deserves a Hero-s burial-. (Summarizes Wrath events)-
-I was just a child when my father rushed to confront the same evil. - (Warlords- First Invasion)-
-Are you so eager to meet Death? Look then upon the countless faces of your demise. --
-The Burning Legion has returned! - (The Arrival of the Legion)-
-I was THERE. I LIVED it! - (Foreshadowing to Varian-s fate)-
-You speak only of their savagery. But surely, they are not all monsters. - (Varian contemplating Faction conflict i. e. Garrosh-s rule vs. Thrall-s rule)-
-There was one, Durotan (parallel between Thrall and his Father. --
-But how can I succeed? Where he failed? - -
-But know this. If your Horde fails to uphold honor as Garrosh did. We will END you. - (Summarizes MoP climax)-
-I now believe as you do. That peace is the noblest aspiration. - (Varian shifts his beliefs to Anduin-s)-
-That mistake cost him his life. And brought this kingdom to ruin-. (Eventually costs him as he trusted his life to Sylvanas who abandoned him on the Shore. With reason, but it still cost him. -
-You are NOT your father. - -
-I go to face it. Knowing, I may not return. - (You know what happens.

-There have been many kings before you, many names, many titles, .hm. there is old saying no king should ever feel comfortable on his throne, no crown should ever be light upon his brow and no mantle no matter how thin made, should ever feel free to move about, that is the true burned of kingship, but its also the greatest strength that it has, any lord can order his soldiers about like pawns, any lord can make laws and enforce them as he wishes, any lord can declare war and have an excuse for it, but it takes a true king to inspire loyalty in his soldiers & his people as a whole even more to be granted their love, it takes a true king to make the right choices for his people for without him they are nothing and he is nothing without them, its a true king bring victory and peace at the end of any war, but only he can make the needed change during it.
Are you telling me something my father already told me or you simply reminding what my father or even my grandfather would have done if they were here now, or are you just sizing me up with them?
No, there is a need for it, you are your father-son & grandfather heir, in more ways than you know lad, but to answer your question, of course not, because you already had accomplished the greatest victory that can be achieved by any true king,
That is stirring the hearts of your people, for when a king has the love of his people behind him the rarely makes mistakes.
Sounds like something out of a book, did you write it?
No, but I was there when Hadrian Menethil, ended the Civil of Lordaeron 200 years ago, and when Marcus Wrynn stopped the uprising in Goldshire & Westfall without any need for a sword arm 60 years later, .- - Knight Commander Alexandar of Arathor & King Anduin Wrynn, the weight of kingship,

You know, i think Blizzard has started to fail at fundamental levels, they promised we wouldnt get a second Garrosh, and now that i see the new coming expansion. well -heyy guyyys, its TOTALLY not Garrosh-, now you fight against Garrosh- in female form! - coming straight from the Horde of course, because the horde is evil- meanwhile, why dont you spend your cash in 3000 addons, pets, colors and lewd boxes? also dont forget Warcraft Reforged- is out too, and anything you mod, do or place in that game is now our property! -
me? im just here for the lore, long gone are the days when i enjoyed a raid boss kill, last one was on MoP, and Athelarius is the only one that keeps me interested in the lore (and PlatinumWoW, so many bad decisions, it all went to shit when Chriz Metzen left the company

Since Varian didn't end the Horde during Battle for Azeroth, that means that the Horde has always been honorable through the events of Battle for Azeroth. Therefore we can conclude, that Teldrassil wasn't burned down by the Horde. But since Teldrassil burned anyway, that means that it has to have been an inside job. Catapult fire can't melt woodbeams, wake up sheeple!

I'm a Horde fanboy through and through, and even I liked Varian.
He deserved better than a backstab from a demon and getting disenchanted by Guldan. I felt like they stole his honor by not just giving him a warrior's death.
Though soloing a Fel Reaver was a pretty badass thing to show his bad ass warrior skills.

Guldan: -You will be remember, as the king who die for nothing-
Guldan was right, in bfa Anduin doesn't do anything
I know, I know. everything is about Blizzard want make female character more op and more (protagonist/main character) in the lore.

Even as a Horde player I liked Varian very much, and I had sorrows after his death. He died a hero's death, for his people. And his fight in the end for me it was one of the most epic in
WOW's history. I hope we'll see him on the Shadowlands.

God this line from Genn really sits differently in Shadowlands. -Your father's actions were indeed heroic. They were his challenge to us, his people to never let fear prevail. Even at the very gates of hell. - Hang in there Anduin.

Its epic. But, i thought that he would say -for the alliance- at the very end and die, but it was not shown. Sadly. There would be an emotional explosion)

King Varian was my favorite lore character. Anduin would never live up to his legacy. He was a beast.
