The British are coming. Can the new crime drama Gracepoint (based on the U. K. hit Broadchurch) find success stateside and join the shortlist of Brit expats that found their footing on red, white, and blue T. V. s, like The Office, House of Cards, and Shameless? Mason: I'm very thankful for the British conversions like Gracepoint, but I prefer actual British television (preferably shows like Doctor Who and Merlin and all of that sci-fi/fantasy stuff that they do.
Also, Mr Baker, I do enjoy a good sad ending every once in a while, as long as the story is wrapped up and no loss ends are left.
How do you feel the proper way to do a sequel is?

US reality tv - always scripted, never real
UK reality tv - mostly real, with plot twists influenced by producers
US tv - happy ending because duh everybody knows self deceit and believing in the American dream is necessary in order to justify living
UK tv - depressing and realistic, because it makes people who live miserable lives feel better

I never got why the Americans have to remake all our TV. What's wrong with watching the original! We're not about to do a UK version of Breaking Bad or the Walking Dead. We'll just watch your version, it's already made and sitting there.
And we're not talking Gordon Ramsey back, do you know how long it took us to get rid of him?

I would love to see what the Brits could do with -Dexter-. I would also like to see that Idris Elba show -Luther- adapted for American television. I think it would've been a great role for Andre Brougher if he wasn't on Brooklyn 99.

Let's see how Doc Martin would translate to an American format. We don't have family doctors making house calls anymore. The whole show would take place in the collections department because nobody would be able to pay their bills.

Now that the UK and US have access to each other's programming without it being syndicated, remakes don't seem as necessary. I mean Fox is remaking Luther. That show was popular in the US before the UK

Only a few, highly skilled American production companies can do UK tv shows well. Look at how we ruined great UK shows like Prime Suspect, Are You Being Served & Torchwood. No more Captain Jack?

Its just fact that British versions are superior (and yes I am American. Or should I remind you of Skins and Being Human. Huge disappointments from the American versions.

Someone needs to resolve the plot to bbc's Primeval then end it before it gets cancelled AGAIN. The Canadian version sucked and didn't resolve the plot

Angry Nerd, you do not have any brilliant powers of deduction like Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple (since you mentioned Agatha Christie)
