The subject matter is a moot point. The narrator is wrong as hell. The peace treaty had been signed doc weeks before the battle. The British would have to return New Orleans and Louisiana. Do your research next time you idiot.

Wasn't the battle of New Orleans after peace was signed? Wouldn't that mean that the British would only occupy New Orleans and not annex it?
