These -What If- things talk so much crap. It is taking the idea that the Earth suddenly grew to the size of the Sun tomorrow. Well if Earth grew that way from the beginning and developed to what it is today, then water from comets would mean there would be more water, not less, and would mean soil, etc would all be there.
Gravity would indeed be heavier but life always finds a way. I am gonna stop watching these videos. They're so disingenuous.

It-s not proven that we would have smaller bodies of water. Y-all are just assuming that we still have the same amount of water but the earth is basically 1. 3 million times bigger. Ofc water is gonna evaporate. If the earth were already that size I-m pretty sure it would-ve evolved naturally over a couple 100 millions of years and we would-ve had so much rain come in that we would inevitably see the formation of oceans

This is a very interesting food for thought. If the earth's size is as big as the sun and the human's body size remains the same, we would almost have infinite resources. However, there could be a change in our attitudes and behaviors. It can also be scary to live in a super huge planet knowing you cannot do a round turn on it in your lifetime

Also, would our exploration of a Planet the size of the sun be hugely hindered. With huge areas of land never explored, multiple cultures that would never be known about, also would there not be different spesis of humans. The trees would they not be like or similar to the huge red woods, with creatures on land and sea being massive.

Tbis video would have been interesting if it was about what the title implies. That the earth formed from the start, as big as the sun. Instead we get this video of the earth suddenly growing for no reason. We could have explored what a sun sized planet and life on it would be like.

Wait I'm confused, they're saying the mass is what gives off a stronger gravitational pull yet they also say a small black hole could be as strong if not stronger even if it's mass is a tiny fraction of the size, like 1/16th due to its density. so what is it, the density or the mass?

This took way too long to answer, and the important part wasn't even mentioned. -What if the Earth was as big as the Sun? Well, Earth would then probably be out of the habitable zone so for life on Earth anyways - not good. -

If THIS happened, Earth would actually be the most massive thing in the solar system! Since we're making earth the size of the sun in DIAMETER, but Earth is way more dense than the sun, Earth would be more massive!
