What if we used the energy of lighting, to begin with? That seems pretty plausible even with current technology!
Build a really tall lightning rod, leading into a sufficiently large water reservoir, in places where thunder storms are frequent. Lightning hits, all that electricity boils up the water, heat can then be released over time, and turned back into electricity we could use! Right?
Every lightning bolt contains mind-boggling amount of electricity, why aren't we using it?
Doesn't seem much harder to arrange than building a Hoover Dam! Or harnessing solar power

The way to power the earth using a black hole: Get spinning black hole. build a circle around it made from metal. make a hole in the circle. put a torch through the hole. now you just have to wait for light to build up (the black hole is spinning so the light will gather up more photons ) then light will come out and know we have lightened the black hole.

I'm thinking if you can figure out the magnetic polarity of a black hole you can starve using really powerful magnets, causing it to release mass or energy and gather energy that way, have the same polarity of the magnets and black holes face each other, btw black holes have really weak magnetic fields
