Sharks are the kings in the oceans also orcas who are smarter than sharks and where I saw at one time actually footage of orca killing a great white. Anything that's in the ocean to a giant fish such as a shark will always be looking for food sources. As far as I know sharks don't have any McDonald's in the ocean for them to get Lunch. Do with that said when you go into the ocean although the risk is minimal a shark that if famished will surely take a look a you as possible a food source. They don't kill like Jason in Halloween cause he's a psycho path they kill to eat period. food is utmost importance for all fish. just like us eating 3 times a day I don't know the percentage of how much calories a shark must take in too survive but I don't believe I've seen a shark that is overweight ever. there constantly swimming and using energy so must need to eat frequently. remember you swim in the ocean your in there domain so. swim in the ocean at your own risk. also like in open water if your bitten. this gonna attack several sharks and I mean several cause sharks can smell blood miles away. be sure if you have any cuts or any blood coming out you to get outta water as fast as possible

The sea was angry that day my friends, like an old man trying to return soup at a deli! I got about 50ft out and then suddenly the great beast appeared before me. I tell ya he was 10 stories high if he was a foot. As if sensing my presence, he gave out a big bellow. I said, Easy big fella! And then as I watched him struggling, I realized something was obstructing his breathing. From where I was standing, I could see directly into the eye of the great fish! Then from out of nowhere a huge title wave lifted me, tossed like a cork and I found myself on top of him face to face with the blow-hole. I could barely see from all of the waves crashing down on top of me but I knew something was there, so I reached my hand and pulled out the obstruction!

Everyone and everything is given their respected area. Things with fins/gills or fins/blow holes belong in the water; things without these things stay out of water and obviously need to stay away from holes in the ground, deer backsides and their friends with large, pointy antlers and any other ginormous animal who see you as a threat to them first. Shit, when an uninvited guest comes into our territory, do we welcome them with tea and toast? Then stay outta their territory or be welcomed with rows of sharp teeth or a heavy head butt or antlers in yer ars pretty simple

Ok. First off. The idiotic statements these people make are just endless! For the 50 millionth time - a HUGE MAJORITY of the ocean has YET to be discovered and or REACHED. In order to know if these sharks and killer whales would eat humans, you'd have to do an experiment where you have a human volunteer dropped into the ocean. These apex creatures are all over. Each group has different characteristics different behaviors etc. Some are calmer than others. some more aggressive. etc and so on.

I live in the Carolinas. We get SO MANY shark attacks on the various beaches. Year after year
Fishermen love sharks wherever there's a large seal population. they eat the things that eat your catch!
Here, we have no seals. so dumbass sharks try to eat people.
I cry no tears for sharks. except those taken for their fins. That's horribly cruel.
China is THE #1 destroyer of endangered species. all those wierd ancient (and completely false) remedies. ughhh

You know how they say that sharks dont like eating humans, but incidents like this make me believe otherwise the fact the same shark attacked multiple people shows they dont mind eating humans. And the times where the humans were able to survive is because they were able to get away Sharks like to attack than back off so their prey bleeds out and wont fight back than theyll come back for the rest.

Even after all of this, there will still be people who think sharks are harmless and treat them like saints. I love sharks, but people need to stop portraying them as innocent animals that can do no wrong. Sharks are predators, cool predators, but predators nonetheless. Just because shark attacks are rare doesnt mean they dont exist.

Sharks are kinda nice were are not on are food chain but still people dont care they what to kill more and more sharks if a shark gets threatened by you punch it in the nose it will attack you they have bad eye site to so they if they see you on a floaty or something they could take a bit of nibble but its a mistake

Also, Peter Benchley was inspired, partly, by an event her experienced as a young man, when a decent-sized thresher shark attacked his small boat.

I would be terrified to see a shark and am scared the ocean in general. However, I find sharks fascinating and the reputation they have as evil man eating machines is very unfair. Hearing how people go out and kill sharks after someone is attacked by a shark is very upsetting and so cruel.

The Jersey shark attacks were NOT a great white, porkers are salt water. It could ONLY have been a Bull shark that are known to swim up rivers and can exist in salt and fresh water.
