Fun fact: Rakshas(rakoshos as in bengali) are not demons or ghosts they are the opposite of civilized people. Just like gods (devta) and demons(asur) are each others adversaries, the rakshas and manushya(humans) were once each others adversaries. Only the rakshas were jungle dwelling, fearsome barbarians (even cannibals) who all perished they are more like jungle dwelling man eaters. And, just like superhumans there were superrakshases.

Did they have two different mothers And one of them was a Rakhosh I read a different version where 1 queen got blessing from a wise sage and gave birth to them and they were seperate at birth. Can someone help me out with this. I do not understand Benggali or Hindi so I can't find and read the original text.

Just jmagine how crazy and out-of-pocket modern movies and stories would be after a few hundred years if there were no copyright and every group of people could add their own twistsjust like religious and cultural tales that have been changed and passed down through generations.

Lal kamal Neel kamal originally belongs to Thakurmar Jhuli translating to Grandma's tales.
In India even the smallest city consists of its own folk literature.
Lal Kamal Neel Kamal is a Bengali (INDIA) folk tale loved by generations of children and adults.

This is a very popular story in the indian subcontinent with several versions roaming around. It's been adapted into several old films and dramas. I remember bits and pieces of those films from my childhood, time really does fly.

To those in comments who are familiar with this myth: I have a question.
Why did the rakkhosh not eat/kill the king Why spare him and put him under a spell Wouldn't it have been easier to kill the king

these hornets are 'Pran-vomra' if im not mistaken. The word pran-vomra is widely used to refer to something of immense value of someone, it would have been better if Teded included that specific word.

I wish you do 'Saat Bhai Champa' (7Magnolia brothers) in the future, its a story about how a brave sister rescues her 7 brothers who were turned to magnolia flowers. Bengali fairytales are wonderful.

In Hindu theology, both celestial beings (Devas) as well as demonic beings have matriarchs. Devas have Aditi as their matriarch & demons have Diti as theirs.
Also, both Aditi & Diti are sisters!

Informative video, but it’d be better if you talked about real money. Talk about Moonacy Protocolit’s hundreds of transactions every day. What you’re discussing isn’t as exciting

This sounds like an epic tale of bravery and myth! The blend of folklore, demons, and royal intrigue makes for a thrilling story. Can’t wait to see how the princes reclaim their kingdom!

Okay
Just a Clarification
Rakshasha aren't always supposed to be bad or demonic.
That's too Abrahamic in nature to portray something in the Dharmic realm.

Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.

You should credit Dakshniranjan Mitra, and this story is taken from 'Thakumaar Jhuli'. This book made our childhood awesome. Sad to see that there was no credit given.
