For me, when stressed, I usually go to sweet or very flavourful foods and for me, the more sweet or flavourful it is, the more of a distraction it is and the more stressed I am in that moment.
Like, I was stressed out so I had grapes, one of my favourite snacking foods (small bites, sweet taste. I also remember a moment I was much more stressed that I wanted cinnamon rolls with thick, cream cheese frosting (a long-lasting sweet taste where I take thick bites and fills me up a bit. And then another time where I wanted to escape for a bit with some apple-flavoured sour sweets (mulling with my tongue and clenching my jaw and they were sour, so the feeling would be more intense and last longer.
I have noticed when stressed, food can be a comfort place for me - a moment of temporary escape. Not just the taste, but also the chewing and biting, providing a sense of control when anxious. I appreciate this video being put out to help me recognise this feeling better! (And don't worry, I know I don't have any eating disorder, have just endured some stressful times)

I've a large range of foods I like/favor. I already managed a sweet tooth craving earlier but. i also have a nasty craving for something extremely rich in ingredient quality. When that happens: i know it means i'm extremely fed up and am trying to stimulate pain inside myself. It's not like I lost the ability to feel pain. It's more like the pain I wish to feel isn't as strong. So it helps me to feel it so I can process it. No idea what triggered it but I have my suspicions. One of them being trauma triggers all the survival instincts inside me.

im one of the biggest sweet tooths here jeez, my appetite is very messed up and i only find salty and sweet food comfortable, but it's mostly sweet for obvious reasons. i also tend to like bitter food sometimes! i hate spicy food.
we did mention my appetite is messed up right well my immune system too, i have iron deficiency im too picky to eat anything i feel bad, i wanna be healthier but the texture, smell and taste of certain vegetables makes me disgusted, ACTUALLY disgusted, makes me vomit

I love simple stuff like pastas, soups, sandwiches, but it's not enough for me to simply eat it I have to make it from SCRATCH. If I'm making spaghetti and meatballs, fettuccine alfredo or even mac'n'cheese I'll make the sauce from scratch. If I'm making a chicken sandwich, I'll fry the chicken in my own batter, make my own dressing as a condiment and on rarer occasions even bake the bread. It's more of a ritual than anything else that forces me to focus on what's in front of me and get out of my own head.

Hey i know this is kinda of topic but i need advice on something
Basically i am that guy who gets hurt or feels bad or doesn't like what a friend does to me but i always subconsciously give them an excuse no matter how absurd and try to validate that reason myself and i know that its bad but its become a second habit to me and i can't do anything about it so i was wondering if you could give any advice

Sometimes I feel I can barely taste bitter. Ate a 99% cocoa chocolate once and all I tasted was a mild hint of salt and nothing else. It was as tasteless as eating flour with the texture of chocolate. (Wait, is flour actually supposed to be bitter too and I just could never taste it all this time)
I mostly crave sweet and salty in alternation. Like, if I had just craved something sweet and also ate it, right afterwards I immediately crave something salty and vice versa.

When I am in bad mood or feel like I just want to relax I’m starting to crave for Smoked braided cheese sometimes string cheese, sometimes i want to eat really dry smoked meat/ jerky and then drink it up with fizzy drinks as lemonade
Sometimes i just don’t want to eat and starve till I forget about it or will feel really hungry that much that i feel like I’m losing consciousness

Hi, I am going through a very hard time right now and I actually completely lost the urge to eat and drink at all. My body can be hungry and I feel it but something in my heart feels missing and it overpowers my feelings of hunger so I don’t end up eating. It’s been going on for a week now and I’ve lost 15 pounds and nothing has changed yet. Should I be worried

Loved the video! But I have a suggestion/question Could you guys do a video on mutism I have it and I feel like nobody really talks about it, nor mentions it; its representation is basically nonexistent too. So I feel at times very alone and just weird especially as a teen essentially unable to make friends irl. Even if it’s just a short it would mean so much to me!

I wish doctors would see this and not just assume. oh there's nothing wrong with you! you just eat too much go exercise here take this medication!
It's deeper than that! I'm always addicted to ice cream. But I also like popcorn add pretzels. Yeah I just have a lot of emotional baggage. I want to be thinner. But it's not easy when you're so stressed out!

Uhhhhh can we drink blood I drink my blood and my friend and bc I sometimes feel blood hunger mmmm friends gives a skab(I’m young btw)and I like looking at cuts and when someone needs to be cleaned with blood I’m the blood can and people clean their cut and throw it out in my mouth but I don’t cut people for blood I don’t and I’m patient

i have this issue where i ALWAYS feel hungry or will consistently think about food. it wasnt until my therapist prescribed me Adderall to help with the constant thoughts of food (amongst other things). i dont think about it every waking moment and to make up for the the snacking throughout the day i eat a handful of cucumbers.

I tend to reach for savory, crispy/crunchy and spicy foods. Examples: fries, chips, popcorn, Korean ramen, etc. Besides water, I drink teas and coffee. I prefer dark chocolate over milk chocolate. I try to eat healthier foods and drinks most of the time, but still get unhealthy cravings, especially around that time of the month.

Most of the time I get a feeling of how good/bad certain food is for my body that's not related to taste. For example, fastfood is yummy, but half a meal there makes me crave greens so much I'm ready to chew grass. Or after particularly rough day I just NEED calcium, despite not really liking dairy products.

I'd be way better off if I lost hunger instead of wanting to eat something. I am already a lazy bum who mostly just sits at home all day watching stuff or playing video games so wanting to eat some foods or snacks when bored or sad does NOT help me to stop being fat
