Usually bit magnetizers like this you pass it through in one direction, and it will magnetize the bed and you pass it through the opposite direction, it will demagnetize the it so maybe experiment with some bits that are not magnetic. Start by pushing it in from the color end and pulling it out the clear end and then see how magnetic it is then try to pass it back through the other direction and see how magnetic it is. I know that's not how they show it being used. But this is what happens when people. copy other designs and don't understand them.
Same with the cable fisher, if the cable doesnt fit use a cable fishing tape, push it through the device, and through the conduit, attache the fishing tape to the cable, then use the tool to pull the fish tape back.

I would always have fitted a pin header and connected it to the programmer using jumper cables; the programmer always had a pin header already soldered on. The extra work involved in constantly soldering and desoldering, plus the strain on the connections, would be too much for me if I had to keep reprogramming the MCs but first had to let the soldering iron heat up again and then go to the trouble of applying and removing the solder.
Something I’ve always disliked when I see you making temporary connections on or to PCBs is that you solder them. Sorry.
I think this thing is a waste unnecessary other reasons that others have already mentioned.
Would you actually use this product

I was working for one of the vast silly companies I have experience with. When I created My own version of the pogo pin programmer. Mine is a bit different and though I never though of it as nothing more than a useful tool. I never went beyond the one I have. Humm might be something to look into. $$$. lol
Cool toys and such. I also have that vacuum device, and it will get down to 0402 size. But sucks up anything smaller. I know I had to open it up to get the 0201 parts out of it.
Peace

I don't like clocks where I need a manual to set the alarm.
Actually, I don't like any device where I need a manual to change the settings, if it is not necessary. I. e. a charger should have a display, which displays real words and not just cryptic codes in 2026 (my opinion, but I guess it should be a common opinion)
Funfact: I think, I just bought two of those membrane pumps they used in the suction pen two weeks ago

That puller isn't supposed to work on cables, but rather what the septics call a fish tape, or in french an aiguille (needle. A long thin flexible hdpe or flat metal runner with a bendy spring at one end and a hook at the other. You push that through the conduit, attach the cable to the end, tape the ends of the cable or wires, grease it all up and pull the lot through.
those pogos and ic clips look great,

I don't think this machine is designed to feed the cable directly, but rather to pull through a polyester or metal fish tape. You feed the fish tape through first, tie your cable to it, and pull it back. Feeding a Cat7 cable directly with a drill won't workespecially since the outer jacket of a network cable is so slippery! :) I bought a green polyester fish tape from AliExpress myself and it's an awesome tool.

I always find so much useful stuff on aliexpress, and I love your videos, but if I want to order something they charge me 6 in taxes, for a 2 product it's unbearable. And the worst part is, that if I want to order soldering flux for example they don't make it in the EU, and my only option is to buy from scammers who order in bulk from China

For the vacuum pen: there are cheap alternatives also available. Like a simple mechanical vacuum similar to a solder suction pen. If someone is also looking for a more premium but still not bank breaking motorized vacuum pen then the Picograb V1 works nicely. My colleagues recommend it, although I didn't have the time to test it yet.

with that induction tester thing, look at thosephotos. obviously AI generated slop once you actually try and follow a trace. especially cheap chinese manufacturers just don't even put any work into their promotional pictures anymore. kindof has become a halfway decent measure of if a product will work properly or not.

Wont be watching this series anymore. It's bought and paid for. At least 1 extremely expensive and bogus item every time. What idiot gets conned into paying 50 bucks for an alarm clock. lol. Everyone has one in their pocket. And no alarm clock should ever cost more than 10 bucks. You've sold your soul dude. i'm out.

Hi Scott, I would like to make you a suggestion for this kind of videos, first show the item/product and after that show the price.
I always forget the price after your explanation and need to rewind if Im interested to know the price, just my kind of view.
Greetings from Croatia, and stay creative!

And if You from EU don't forget to add 5 Eur to price for EACH product, so Your bit magnetizer will cost You 8. 95 EUR.
Update: Sorry, I was in the wrong about 5 EUR. Just tried to order one of the items, and AliExpress wanted to charge me additional 6. 05 EUR (2. 42 EUR Handling fee and 3. 63 EUR Duty.

I recommend a magnetic impact bit holder that has a strong magnet, holds the small bits firmly, and can be used with an impact driver. Even long screws stay on. I don't recommend an add-on magnet, especially since it hinders your line of sight and requires you to remove and reinstall if you are changing bits.

The Induction tester looks awfully like a circuit I built as a kid 30 years ago, which was basically two BJT transistors in Darlington configuration driving an LED. The floating base was the detector and it reacted to various electromagnetic fields, thus working as a wire/antenna, /transformer detector.

Because of the new fees and taxes for the EU Ali is dead now for cheap parts - sadly. And expensive stuff I wouldn’t buy there anyway.
Regarding the shown prices: None of these items can be purchased from Germany for less than 10-20 (including shipping, fees, taxes. So, nothing really cheap.

To pull wire in conduit get a shop vac a pull string and a piece of an old, thin rag. Bind the rag piece to the end of the string and suck it with the shop vac through the conduit. Then exchange the rag piece with the end of the wire you want to pull in and pull back. Done.

The only problem is that in aliexpress, they make copy of a copy of a copy. So you can buy like 3 same products, same name, same picture, same everything. Then recieve three slightly different one, some may work, some might not. I know, coz it happened to me.

6: 05 i would highly recommend soicbite: ) you can use a much cheaper & common soic 8 clip, and it clamps on to the side of your pcb so you dont need to hold it aligned to your test pads. and if 8 pads isnt enough, you can get clips for up to soic 44 or maybe even more

That pogo pin thing, seriously just put a normal pin header on you boards. Then you don't need to hold that pogo thingie with one hand while using your keyboard with the other. sounds very cumbersome to me using that pogo thingie for programming and debugging.
