-To a small degree to keep communism from spreading- - Yeah okay tell that to Latin America. Where the US continued to exploit their vulnerable economic policies to make a profit off their debt by increasing it while killing democracy in order to supplant a dictator who will kiss the feet of the IMF and implement their pervasive developmental macroeconomic austerity measures policies that displaced and killed millions in what should be considered a genocide. What an understatement. The anti-commi complex of the US had no merit in the LAC countries. Cuba was the exception, not the rule. But maybe if the US hadn't sought to take advantage of vulnerable and marginalised countries to begin with, they wouldn't have felt so compelled to look to the Soviets for help in the first place. The US both creates, and solves the problems, which creates new problems. This is how they fund their irrational military budgets in a -post-Cold war- that serve no purpose other than to cover the fact that with out the current size of their military, the US would be in a financial crisis with disproportionate levels of unemployment and an array of subsequent consequences that would follow suite. just look at the rate of consumption in terms of global gdp and compare it to US's share of the world's total population. The two are so disproportional, especially when you consider the the same indicators are completely reversed when you look at China.

isnt foreign aid great when we colonize the areas that need development help? like I know it impedes on a peoples cultural destiny when a foreign nation establishes governance in their land, but doesnt it demonstrably improve life span, introduction to the global market, and automation. like raj era rail lines are vital to the people of india now, and south africa is the most developed area on the continent of africa. the third world is dependent on the first world if it wants any kind of 21st century improvement. whenever we leave it starts to go to hell again, no?

Again lies. The rise of international aid organizations and Marshall plan existed only because of the rise of Communists and explotation by capitalists. That was a huge reteat of capitalists fom their positions in response of rising Communism. It was the only thing to do in order for capitalism to survive. And now capitlists lie about their -genirocity-. =)

US government is hijacked. Yes you are almost there. The US is generous for some complicated reasons. US government is 'generous' in achieving its own (NWO) economic and political objectives and to BRIBE people. And to give aid to its puppet governments annually. We don't want this kind of 'generosity' (bribes. Most of your foreign aid goes for the above mentioned.

4: 08 Why are first world governments interested in supporting these poor countries? What do countries actually gain these days from increasing foreign aid?
5: 03 Why are first world governments also supporting countries that are moving towards democracy with foreign aid? Isn't it easier to bribe a dictator to do what you want?

This money must have some one watching over it because it seems very few poor countries get to see this money. For now 3rd world countries have China doing the right thing. I would advise those countries giving foreign aid to put a break on it and take care of their own countries poor. It will be the right thing to do.

Britain gives foreign aid to countries rich enough to run and maintain a space program, ie Pakistan.
This is while thousands of retired citizens die in the winter because they can't afford to heat their homes on their measly state pension.
A pension they probably worked all their lives for.

Is it possible for -Baltimore- to apply for foreign aid? How about Detroit? Homelessness is rampant, schools are in shambles. Many more once proud American Cities and Towns are facing third world living conditions. Charity needs to be directed where it is most needed.

Does remittances affect the economy of the country getting its money sent to other countries? $33 billion basically in addition to foreign aid. Why are all the dissenters all frowning and angry? Can-t this not be so biased when this acts like a place to get facts?
