In which Hank blows our minds with the different kinds of Solids out there and talks about why they're all different and have different properties. Today, you'll learn about amorphous and crystalline solids, types of crystalline solids, types of crystalline atomic solids, properties of each type of solid, and that the properties depend on the bond types. Pssst. we made flashcards to help you review the content in this episode! Find them on the free Crash Course App!

As people who are involved in science I am disappointed that you portrayed agriculturist's as people who have to wear chemical suits and masks and walk around spraying chemicals on their crops. That is no way, shape, or form how farmers apply pesticides or herbicides to their fields, and by showing that cartoon of them doing that, it furthers the belief that non-agriculturists have about the industry and helps portray farmers as the -bad guys. - This is NOT how farmers apply chemicals, we use sprayers, that are large machines, and the amount of chemical vs water in the spray that we use is incredibly low. We do not need to wear suits or masks when spraying. In fact, the spray we use on our farm is so safe that our dog runs behind the sprayer when we're in the fields and is not harmed. As scientists, and supporters of scientific advancements, I would encourage you to re-evaulate how you portray the very people how work day in and day out, 365 days a year to product the food, fiber and fuel, that feeds you, clothes you and allows you to live the life that you do. Thank you.

I really like crash course videos, however, I think that they need to teach a little bit slow because we are learning These topics for the first time. I don't know about anyone but I need some time to process things up.

like the fact you said not interacting which your clothes would be inappropriate while WEARING YOUR BROTHER'S FACE! .i think that interaction if taken further would be far far more inappropriate.

so is crystalline or amorphous easier to break? like which is more brittle? because glass is amorphous solid which is harder to break but then in real life glass is easy to break?

I love how a few episodes before this, Hank was complaining of being in John's shadow, and now he is wearing a Pizza John t-shirt.
Brotherhood 2. 0!

Okay so how many of you did NOT freak out on the shattering of that glass? (I didn't because I got used to that sound by playing -smash hit-)

To think 6 years ago I watched this to learn it for highschool, now im back at college learning it all over again, all thanks to yall

Hello! Is butter an amorphous solid? Coz I'm really confused right now because my prof, the answer key, and Hank are all contradicting

Why can't you be my chemistry professor? You explain things so much better than him and my textbook. Thank you for this video!
