It hurts and sickens me that this information isn't being readily taught to people in public school but I'm incredibly happy that you guys are picking up the slack. I really hope a lot of people will see this and come to understand themselves a bit better.

That three-layer cake metaphor also works for relationship style. Open to non-monogamy (relationship orientation, while honoring my monogamous marriage (relationship behavior. The relationship identity gets caught in the crossfire given societal norms.

Oh this is going to be EXCELLENT. Not that I ever doubted it but I am already a big fan of the tone being set here. And I stand to learn a few things myself, which is just icing on my cake, hehehe
Looking forward to the rest of the series!

This is a fantastic first episode. 10/10! The only thing that I would replace it with would be an episode about consent. I sincerely hope that episode will be coming, because EVERYBODY needs to talk about consent!

Shan is such an amazing choice of host for this series - such a clear and engaging communicator with a confidence and ease that makes any awkwardness or prejudice about the topic just melt away.

Whoever wrote this episode you did a good job with the funfetti cake metaphor. Good, fun, accurate, approachable. You are good at your jobs keep doing it I'll keep watching

I really wish this series would make its way to a broad audience. The whole virginity thing, especially for teens, is treated as a much bigger deal than it needs to be.
reply

So glad this exists, especially in terms that young people ACTUALLY USE to talk about these things. I wish I had this sort of resource as a kid.
reply

Thank you, Crash Course! This topic is SO NECESSARY, not just for us in the US, but around the world where these topics are too taboo
reply

Thank you! I may be 50 and have been around the block a time or twelve, but I can already tell I'm going to learn from this series.
reply

I appreciate this very much as someone who is from a country where this kind of talk is shamed. Good job, crash course team.
reply

My son and I have had many conversations on this subject. Next time he has questions, I'll pull this up and he can learn!

Algorithm boosting important education before the American dark ages truly take hold. Keep up the good work crash course!

I was wondering how you'd do the first episode. I am positively surprised. Well done! Looking forward to the next episodes.
