Alaskas climate and natural resources mean it is often at the center of opposing environmental policies. Jen: These resources should be available to help the state and country develop. No they shouldn't. With other countries around the world investing in other forms of energy the U. S. is just putting itself on the bottom of the economic pile by refusing to progress to other means of energy sourcing. We will not be able to compete if we cannot keep up with new technologies created elsewhere. Some old men are getting to decide who the U. S. is going to be on the global stage and their reasons have nothing to do with developing our country in any way that moves us forward.
