I've known the plot of the film since it came out, but I watched it in full yesterday (with one smoke break half way) and I'm in shock and so grateful for the experience of this raw emotional piece of work. I want to direct like Luca, he conducts this beautiful alchemy with all of his work.

Luca is such a profound director. bocoz the way he explaining details, it feel like he is so purely immersed and absorbed in his art.
if he ever teaches directing. it would be such a godsend.
PS: i wish the 4 hours director's cut does releases on dvd.

Because it seems like you could completely miss the subtext of this scene without it. It just seems like a couple of brothers getting to know each other.
