In a previous video you were concerned about stale fuel that you were afraid that is was unused.
I watch lots of videos of will it start/ abandoned heavy equipment.
A tractor abandoned for 10-20 years most of the time has diesel fuel in the tank.
As long as there isn’t water sitting in the tank (bottom, the diesel fuel will run fine.
I wouldn’t worry about your 1-2 year old diesel as long as you don’t have water in it.
( you can drain it out.
The gasoline is another thing. I’m glad that you rotate your gas supply. Also glad that you put stabilizer in the gasoline.
That is a must.
I used to use Stabil brand regular. Then I switched to Stabil for marine engines. It helps to homogenize and small amounts of water into the gasoline.
Now I use SEAFOAM more recommended product.
Some people say to use higher octane gas. NO NO!
It causes a hotter combustion which detached the valve seat from the engine head.
A major issue.
Bottom line.
Make sure your containers are clean and well sealed.
Store them in the shade.
Keep using stabilizer in gasoline.
Rotate your gasoline stash.
Diesel had more longevity with shelf life.
Stabilizer is optional in diesel.

Hi jake, glad you and the family are not in any real danger. Glad you came on. You asked for ideas for lives, I really do look forward to your videos. I am new, found you recently and I have gone back and watched many old episodes. I don't know if you have a specific day that you post but I start looking around Wednesday. One thing that would be helpful iis if you set a time to go live and let us know when its going to happen. Usually when I log in (after 5 pm) mountain time, the live has already taken place. I enjoy seeing the weekly progress on the many projects. So looking forward to the house build. The other great thing is the tips on gardening. I do a small garden every year!

00: 06: 00 A 12 foot wave is not so big. But a 12 foot Tsunami. Or tidal wave I guess is rather big as a tidal wave is not a ripple or ocean roller. It has a huge volume of water behind it. It's probably impossible to stop.
I saw the back of The Severn Bore. From. Porthcawl in South Wales.
I heard from locals that The Severn Bore extends out to Porthcawl.
The Severn Estuary is massive. Miles accross. At Porthcawl you can't even see England (from Wales. The Bore must be 25 miles accross if it ever starts at Porthcawl. Like locals hinted.
I thought the tidal wave was hideous.

Hug them baby's and Nicole tight you are blessed. I have twin girls 46 yrs old I still shake my head a lot and laugh. A middle
daughter 42 then a son 40. I have 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandkids. Life is busy.

Jake and his pretty wife Nicolle!
At first I admired Jake Mace's Preying Mantis Kung Fu.
Now I admire his adventurous spirit. Pretty Wife and Small Holding.
Jake is certainly living The Good Life. Which was the title of a UK TV show where folks lived off the land!
An interesting story. I hope all was okay A happy ending
00: 04: 24
Interesting perspective on The Earthquake news.
3 kids now
Congratulations ! You folks are doing SO well!

12 feet is scary! I live in nature and feel nurtured most of the time, though I've also learned from being in the country for 20 years that lightning can hit trees without descrimination and wind can blow down your home if it feels like it, flooding is no joke no matter how little because of mold, and I know 2 ppl who lost their houses in fires which are also very real. teaches both love and respect of nature to be out here, and I'm not nearly as isolated as you.

I get what you're saying about trees in the wind! The developers left some HUGE trees in the nature protection space behind our house and alot of them have been dieing off (assuming to losing huge sections of roots from everything around it being ripped out and leveled for homes) every time the wind picks up even a little, super load groans come from those trees and all the neighbors cringe lol. Marysville, wa here. so yeah I get it

Wow! I didn’t think about it affecting you guys! My hubby and I were on the Japan coast when the warning came in this is my first trip to Japan and I had to laugh cause I thought man Japan wanted me to have the full Japanese experience didn’t it! All joking aside I took it seriously growing up with hurricanes in south Florida I knew to watch the locals. If they started freaking out then it was time for me to start freaking out.

My husband wanted to live much like yourself, only fly in, canoe in, hike in. I was not in for any of it. I wanted medical care, and people even though I'm an introvert. As for Alaska, my husband was stationed in Adak Alaska, which we did like very much. There's a volcano near that island and we had earthquakes quite often the first year we were there. Curious, if you are near a volcano As the crow flies that is.

Anchorage AK. Has no warning. Tho a Fairbanks Dr. Water Name not correct, at the University in Fairbanks. Tells us Anchorage cld be greatly affected. Got kind of a huge water inlet from the ocean. You are also in some kind of a inlet. Please know these large waters coming in. Can be made fast and deep in these areas. Please if you can go to the nearest Hill Mountain with Family and Pets.

Understand your comments about adapting speech. I'm a Southern Boy, and I sound like it. However in the military being around so many from different places, I did not have that accent unless I had a few beers. lol. Having a lineage on one side of the family from Ireland, when I'm around Irish people I fall right into it.

If you’re in a foreign country speaking their language I completely understand using their dialect and accent but to go to another part of the United States where everybody is speaking English and you just change your accent, that sounds kind of silly to me. Just my opinion.

The wind is so loud. I can hardly hear you. Why not take a picnic up on one of the mountains or high hills and just spend the day away from any problems. Btw wind is too Loud when you ride the bike. Get a better wind screen.

Get a goose to keep with your chickens. These raise a huge ruckus when there is a predator. They will attack smaller predators, and give their life raising the alarm when bigger predators attack.
