We officially have heat now! It took us a while but, if I do say so myself our wood burning stove looks beautiful! Now that the heat project is done it's time to have some fun! We head to the lake and have ourselves a nice picnic & swim

We're gonna keep commenting because You Tube counts everything. After 40 years here we had a 3 day power outage and 30- of snow last December. Unable to plow our drive as our trusty Honda Tractor with Snow Blower lost the clutch. Our grown children worked to finally buy us a new generator and our wonderful neighbor plowed us out with his Ariens blower after his F250 got stuck in our LONG drive. We really understand this whole off grid thing, but as we are in our 70's it just got a lot harder to deal with. 3 days, no heat other than fireplace and no electricity, well water etc. Time to move on now.

You've given us a great understanding of the benefits of building and living in a Yurt. We've decided to build one ourselves instead of living in a trailer, as a step towards treehouse living. We plan to convert our Yurt after moving into our treehouse into a gathering space for visitors and guests and also as a grow-op for hydroponic food production all year round. Thank you for being an inspiration and for sharing your journey always.

You have many expensive stuff in your possession how do you pay for it?
Otherwise what you accomplish is impressive. Beautiful nature beautiful people difficult life isolated existence wet climate. Not everybody's cup of tea? Not sure what the future holds for you in terms of sustainability making children health related issues what to do in case of God forbid health related emergencies. Very challenging life. I wish you success

So I've watched 31 episodes of your off grid life in the past 4 days while sick with the flu. I've really enjoyed it so much. You remind me of Eric and Ariel from Simple Living Alaska without the hunting and fishing, and since I've watched all of theirs now, it was nice to find something with the same sort of couple situation, with love and respect and great friendship between you.

Hi! I'm from Brasil. I would love to live like that! I also enjoy to do my wood work. Unfortunately I can't. Is there some episode where you describe about your peace of land, how did you discovered it or how much money was necessary to start? This level of harmony with nature is what Earth needs to recover itself. Nice job, keep it on!

I really love a good fire. Not in a pyro way but just in the warmth and sense of homeness like yall do. I cook a lot and smoke a lot of meat for bbqing so having a fire to me is imperative. Really enjoy your videos and I'm learning so much from every single one. Can't wait to catch up to where yall are now and see how far you've come.

Love the life and videos you both create. Thank you both for a small glimpse of the life and love you share between each other and for life itself. So raw and honest and free. It truly is the simple things in life that make it worth living! Living life through the two of you. -

Now that I'm in a wheelchair and lost my youngest daughter in 10/2018. There's not much I can do. I found your page and I watch it all the time. And just drift away in my own thoughts. You have a wonderful life up there in the mountains of Canada. Bless you both -

The two best ever improvements we as a couple, Harry n Sue have done to our houses are, a, wood burner, b, a cabin. The warmth and cheeriness that a wood burner brings is priceless. Great series loving every one and just wishing we could emulate you guys.
